I know GBP wants to Match "Canelo" versus Mosley. But for the Love of Mercy....PLEASE, HELL NO!!! Personally, the fight that would get the most BUZZ and the same level of attention as the Main-Event (if not more) is

    VS

In Fact a fight between Canelo Alvarez vs James Kirkland would be so Exciting and the Build-up would be just as interesting and Entertaining as FMJ vs Cotto. Hell, I can see HBO doing a TWO-EPISODE 24/7 (if not a full 4-Weeks)...Damn, I am excited at just the thought of this.

But in the end...we'll see Canelo vs Mosley:-(

I would rather see Canelo fight Lara because this fight wouldn't be that interesting, at all. I normally like fights between two Glass Jawed fighters with no defense because anything can happen but Kirkland's Chin is on another level of pitiful from Canelo's and the first solid punches that land would send him careening to the mat like a drunk at last call yet again. Unlike Angulo, Canelo probably isn't going to punch himself out trying to finish and it would be over in a short burst of controlled violence which lasts about sixty seconds.

For my money, give me Canelo/Lara. Lara can fight, he appears to have a Chin, and he can actually move his head which would help us to answer far more questions about him than brutally starching the biggest China Chinned Chump in Boxing.

no way they put canelo and kirkland in with each other this early, that fight has serious growth potential. no way lara fights canelo, way too risky. it's either going to be williams, mosley or molina.

Yea, how come nobody talks about a potential canelo-maravilla ... it would also be a huge payday for sergio and canelo is closer to his weight... definetly could be made...

Mosley is a better fight than Kirkland who's C Class in my view. Alvarez would dissect Kirkland against Mosley he'll have to focus on making less mistakes because Mosley is better. Mosley just won't have the engine to beat Alvarez but he could make it interesting

He'll be safely matched. against an over the hill big name like mosley (most likely fight)

Definetly not kirkland. Thats a PPV fight.

Even mosley alvarexz could hold its own event so it might not be that too

Joshua Clottey for me. We know that canelo is still young to be thrown in their with the elites. and he's still protected just like chavez so i doubt he'll fight kirkland which is a very dangerous fight for him.

    IMO Clottey beats Alvarez.

Clottey is on the same level as Cotto and Margarito.

I'd be suprised if they put alvarez against him

IMO Alvarez is better than all 3, especially at this moment, his skills, size, power, speed. It's a great package imo, he'd be much more dangerous for Floyd than Cotto, I was actually worried as a Floyd fan about taking on Alvarez, not so much with Cotto

How about Victor Ortiz? Berto? Those are more main event level fights. Lara would be very tricky, Lara maybe the best at 154 bar Floyd/Alvarez

ortiz and berto are main event now. Lara would be a big risk, and they need someone whomakes alvarez looks good against.

    Maybe Angulo or Williams.
