As has been said, that's just pure speculation. Speculation that doesn't hold up when actually looking at the fight itself.

You do realize that your statements are also based on speculation right. Do you box or ever had to make weight?

3 or 4 years ago the one fight I really wanted to see for Floyd was Cotto. Now I'm just not excited about it.

I dont think Cotto is much worse/better now than when he fought Pacquaio. He may have a bit more confidence after eradicating the Margarito defeat but overall I don't think he has made many improvements.

He was losing rounds wise V Foreman when he injured his leg. i still would have expected Cotto to win but he didn't look good in that fight. The Mayorga fight wasnt a great showing either but he was in control and did what he had to do. he looked great against Marg but Marg was finished by this point.

I expect Mayweather to beat him handily come May.

Nah.. Miguel's stamina issues are well documented. I was at MSG for the Margarito II fight n although I don't think it would have mattered much; Miguel was huffing n puffing toward the later rounds same as he always is. I got fam in PR that tell me they see Cotto drinking in the clubs at times.. Miguel is not naturally a bigger man like Sergio Martinez or Canelo Alvarez; In fact I think Mayweather has a bigger build. I think if he disciplined himself the way Floyd does, he could make 147 all the time.

My statements are based on what I see in the ring. For example, Oscar was slow and lethargic when getting beaten up by Pac, so it's safe to say he didn't cope well with the weight loss. Whereas Hopkins - when he had to cut extra pounds against Oscar and Pavlik - looked as normal as ever, and so I believe he coped ok with the weight loss to the point where the catchweight didn't affect him in his performance.

I don't need to have boxed or to have made weight when trying to determine whether fighters have or have not been affected by making weight. Just like I don't need have boxed professionally when determining how good a fighter is and whether he'll beat certain opponents or not.

After floyd beats cotto, he could well indeed stay at the weight and beat canelo becoming the undisputed junior middleweight champion by the end of 2012. Great ****.

Canelo(WBC) V Mayweather (WBA), ring championship fight right here.

I think Mayweather will go back to 147, do what he gotta' do there, and when GBP have kept Canelo undefeated for long enough, then he'll go back up and take his belt off him.

Considering Canelo was floyd's 2nd option according to Canelo himself, this suggest that if once again pac v floyd can't be made then Canelo will be the front runner.

Only other guy would be Khan, but he struggling at the moment to make himself a legit threat. Khan needs to do something impressive in his next fight to even get his name back in the hat.
