Who the **** is the WBF? Seriously. At least some people take the IBO seriously. Here's their list of champions: http://www.worldboxingfoundation.com/champions/current-wbf-world-champions Any organization where Kali Meehan is their current heavyweight world champion obviously isn't one anyone gives a rat's ass about. Anyway, everyone would be much better off if we just started ignoring these guys. It's basically just organized crime. Hell, the IBF is the only one that follows its own rules and that's only because the Department of Justice threatened to disband them otherwise because the courts found that the IBF actually WAS a crime syndicate.
Dignity IBO- Pure Computer Rankings, a shame more boxers won't hold the strap IBF- Decent Rankings but they'll strip a guy for not fighting every BS mandatory. WBA- Doesn't strip guys often and way to many champions WBC- Strips guys to give favored boxers more leeway, doesn't enforce Mandatories at all, etc. WBO- ****** Boxing Organization
If IBO was pure computer rankings how did they end up with Danny Green as champ? As far as sanctioning bodies go WBC seems to command a little more respect then the others. It also seems that the most credible sanctioning body is different from division to division, making it hard to pick a best sanctioning body. So screw the sanctioning bodies. Just have regional/national and continental champions, and then a world champion. The rankings would be based on computers or media consensus and the champs would be required to face the #1 contender once a year.
you have to convince people to hold your belt. If they don't hold it, then it doesn't matter how good your rankings are. Plus you have to pay the bills so you go down the rankings trying to find someone to hold it.
This the WBA is a complete joke nowadays and i barely rate them anymore. IBF and WBO at least seem to follow their own rules, WBC is a Mexican title nowadays.
