Golden Boy will never let Canelo near James Kirkland. James Kirkland is a monster he would make Canelo look like a pimply high school kid. Canelo has been fighting Matthew Hatton and Ryan Rhodes. Maybe Gary Lockett is next
Unfortunately, yes. And that's because I have very little self control when it comes to boxing, sadly. And because I'm probably not alone, this is the reason why we won't get to see it on the May 5th undercard (even though Kirkland already has a March fight against Molina lined up, so doubt he would've been ready in time anyway).
I think Boxing needs more PPVs like this. A reasonably priced PPV where you get to see a SOLID CARD with some promising prospects as the main event. Guys that EARN their fanbase and maybe a few casual fans will grab it and get hooked.
Kirland gets smoked. Lucky angula gased himself out like a moron Would pay for canelo vs martinez tho
I agree. It would be even better on a Saturday at 8pm or a Sunday at say 3pm. Boxing is ALWAYS better free. Problem is you can't sell ad space around it these days. Sub $20 PPVs will get more folks tuning in which will build the momentum to justify a network placement.
i would pay for a good card in a heartbeat but the average fan wont. i used to watch boxing with my family a lot when i was younger but i didn't truly get into it until one late night i was flicking through the channels and caught de la hoya vs mosley 1, had that fight been on ppv in uk id probably never gotten into boxing.
These ***s have been brainwashed. They think saying NO to a PPV like this would be something bad. For ****'s sake, the alternative would be HBO, not NO FIGHT AT ALL.atsch
:yep once again, u fail. show me ONE comment that says they wouldnt watch it without PPV. being the ***** u are, u try to argue about irrelevent ****, when the simple question was would u order the fight IF it was PPV? all u needed to do was answer the ****in question and not be a ***** about it and complain.
It's ridiculous how ignorant some people are. The question clearly asks would YOU buy this fight if it were on PPV? It doesn't ask do you think casual fans would buy it, or do you think your neighbor will buy it? I definately would buy it, because it would be a guranteed action fight, and if they were to put this fight headlining a PPV, you can bet your ass that they are going to stack the undercard. I would much rather see guranteed action fights from up and comers than pointless fights from May or Pac.
Die hards make up a SMALL percentage of all PPV buys. It's the casuals that make a PV a success. That's why they are often used for established and proven big name fighters. Not two guys most people don't know. Can't believe these floyd idiots don't get that. Hell, DLH was WAY more known then Canelo was right out of the Olympics. So was mayweather. But TR didn't just start PPVing all their fights right off the bat. They were on HBO all the time, to gain recognition and a following. But we're talking about a bunch of fanboys who probably didn't even know what jerking off was when DLH and even Floyd turned pro. So i guess it's just a case of these fanboys not knowing what they don't know. :yep
You think a simple yes/no answer is better then saying WHY or WHY NOT as well? That's called having a discussion. Only bad thing is, it's usually a one way road with these rubes...
