As much as Haye annoys me I'm beginning to miss him!

He was a top class cruiserweight, but his life as a heavyweight!! He was better at selling himself as a heavyweight than fighting as a heavyweight. Unfortunately as a good a cruiserweight he was he will be remembered for the Audley fight and "Toegate", unfortunate really but he made his choices and I feel he chose celebrity over credibility

 

For you chaps going Haye cold turkey you could always watch any of Zack Page's upcoming fights and envisage Haye's head super imposed unto Page's body, they have the exact same fighting style at heavyweight anyway so you wont notice the difference.

But he is and I'm glad we dont have to discuss contracts/stipulations ect anymore. Turned this place like the general at times.

Would like to see him used in big fights as a panelist

 

I miss him. Always fought the best although he didn't have enough
fights and there was plenty of fights that he bypassed for big
money fights.

 

British boxing definitely misses him. Sod all else going on at the moment...at least not of interest to anybody outside of ESB and Boxrec.

 

Nah, couldnt give a toss. I fell for his **** one too many times, dont care anymore.

He talked himself into a massive payday with Wlad and failed to live upto the hype / expectation he'd set for himself.

If he comes back, it should be in fights vs Arreola, Solis etc first to prove his worth, no way should he get another crack at K2 just cuz he wants one last hurah.

I read the other day that K2 were complaining about him asking for too much £ & saying it wouldn't happen

 

Haye is a ****

trust me i was a massive Haye fan, went to all his HW fights plus a few cruiser, (just check my previous posts) and your see how much of a Haye fan i was.

I stood up for him when people were talking down about him. I said he would beat Wlad, it would be the toughest challenge for Wlad to date.

But what did he do let everyone and himself down.

He thinks to much about money he dont care about anyone or anything apart from his Carreer fame and money. He trashtalked his way to get fights and to get the people following him. And lets be honest i dont care what anyone says it worked! and we all got sucked into his delusional ****.

Dont get me wrong he had Power and Speed. but could not live up to his word. and lets be honest who decent did he fight at HW? all fighers he fought are past it, where as Haye was in his prime. Even the decison over Valuev was debatable.

I have no time for this chap, he should not come back to boxing and needs to stay away from the ring. all respect for him has gone.

Damn! I remember you posting about him and going to his fights. Says it all when fans like myself and you have been had enough of him.

 

Yep you got it mate! just goes to show. I was praying that he would bring new light to the boring HW divison and he did for a while, then he started to fight shot boxers and fighting weaker opponents. then put on an a **** performance against Wlad

I agree, its alot more evident these days that it's a business and being a boxer is a profession, not necessarly a love for the sport.

The best boxers out there are the ones that actually get a buzz out of all the training/fighting whereas I feel today its not like that.
