Cotto is no doubt top 5 at that weight. Far from being #1, beating 3 fighters who were not top 3 LMW at the time Cotto fought them does not make him #1.

I wanna see Cotto vs Lara, Molina, Kirkland, Williams, Alvares, too bad non of those will ever get maid, maybe Cotto vs Canelo, Cotto needs to start fighting top fighters in his division and beating them to become #1.

From the mind set of mayweather jr fans..who ever he fights and and BEATS it's called
PBF Jr's LEFT overs when PACQUIO fights them!
    Like Hatton, ODLH and Mosley
But if PACQUIO already fought those boxers which Pacquio already beaten it's called
LEGIT fight and PBF fans will not say and NEVER admit they are PACQUIO's left over.

    :rofl:nut:rofl:!:

Floyd said he thought Clottey beat Cotto.

The divisions fractured and no one has an undisputed claim. I believe cotto is top of the tree though.

Williams hasn't won a fight in years.

Lara got a gift against molina.

    Kirkland got sparked by ishida.

Alvares has a lmw resume just as weak as cotto's.

Either of these guys could be seen as the best (you missed out bundrage btw) but none are undisputedly the best.

Miguel is my number 1 at the weight. I believe the ring have him top also.

Why this is stupid is that it goes both ways, the guys who were saying that Cotto wasn't shot and is still a great fighter. Why is Cotto not a legit opponent now that Mayweather is fighting him?

Bitching about other posters must mean more then the fight being made I guess.

This isn't a good competive fight never was. Nothing against Cotto, but he's never been even at his best. On the same level as Mayweather has been.

Before the Pac fight Cotto didn't look as sharp as he does now. He got the snot beat out him by Margarito, came back fought a tune bout, then moved on to fight Clottey and barely one that fight. This was the reason why Roach choose to fight him when they did, because they seen in him what most boxing fans seen, which was damage Cotto. To make matters worst they wanted him to come down in weight. People may aruge that the weight was nothing, but if that's so why did he have to come down then. The Cotto now is bigger, he's coming off of three wins, and looked good in all three. I would say this is a better and obviously bigger Cotto then the one that faced Pac, which makes him an formidable opponent.

lol. As if Manny can fight at 154. He dont even want to fight at 150lb anymore guys. 150 and up is just too much for Manny. That small frame of his wouldnt compete with 154ers. (He was pissing blood post-Margo fight)

I am a Floyd fan i criticized Manny for making him cut weight and thought he was finished, i havent been impressed with him since pre Margo 1 look at my post history if you dont buy it

ive said on recent threads that i prefer the canelo fight or even a few other guys

i knew fighting cotto would create a stir among fans to say Floyd was fighting left overs and washed up guys and i guess im right

It is all about the timing.. The question is this "who is fighting the BETTER version of Cotto"

If Floyd had fought Cotto when Pac did, that would be a cherry pick because Cotto had gone through wars and lost a few steps the difference is the version of particular fighter..
