I've never been impressed with Haroon Khan, I wouldn't call him poor but he's not medal class IMO.

Lomanchenko as mentioned, is something of an amatuer phenom.

Anthony Joshua is one to watch.

There's a spark missing from amatuer Boxing, I miss the pre South Korea scoring system.

Haroon Khan just isnt that good mate, most of his publicity comes from his name.

 

His post didnt ask for the best or decent fighters, it simply asked for names to "keep an eye out for"

The brother of Amir Khan IMO is someone that should be "looked out for" as if he does reasonably well you can bet he will be fast tracked in the same wat that Amir was.

Usyk basically outclassed him and will do it again. Mammedov, Karneyeu, Larduet, Levit would all be pick'em fights vs Beterbiev too imo. Should have stayed at 81. 91 is pretty stacked and while he's strong enough and has very good power he's a little short for Hw.

Most of Ukraine's team plan on going pro together after the games and signing with the same promoter.

Well at the 2011 Worlds Lomachenko, Usyk, Khytrov, Shelestyuk all won Gold and Berinchyk Silver so they're all world Champions.

Their team is super close, all best friends and Lomachenko, Usyk, Khytrov, Gvozdyk, Kapitonenko, Berinchyk all want to sign to the same promoter as a package deal and i assume live close & train together. Lomachenko after he got Gold at the 2008 Olympics got offers from Russian, German and American promoters but turned them down, i don't see money splitting them if that did arise but more importantly what promoter in their right mind wouldn't want a half dozen or so World Champion amateurs? Who ever signs them is ****ing set.

Isn't he signed by K2 (Klychko brothers) ? They signed Golovkin recently. Signing the Ukrainian team would be a terrific fit imo. Alot of the fighters are trained by their Fathers (Lomachenko, Khytrov, Gvozdyk for sure maybe Berinchyk too) so staying in Ukraine could appeal and they also seem quite patriotic.

As for the question posed by the thread starter, the most talented fighter slated to appear in London is Vasyl Lomachenko.

The kid is fast of hand and foot, diverse in terms of his offensive arsenal, and rapidly developing the kind of punching power that will serve him well in the professional ranks.

In two or three years hence, Lomachenko's name will undoubtedly be mentioned as a P4Per.
