Floyd fights people coming off impressive wins and Manny just lost but was gifted a decision examples..............

    Baldomir coming off beating Judah
De La Hoya coming off beating Mayorga for the Super welterweight title
Ricky Hatton coming off a 4th round KO José Luis Castillo
Juan Manuel Márquez beat Juan Díaz
Shane Mosley coming off damn near killing Margarito
Victor Ortiz beat undefeated Andre Berto for the welterweight title

Manny on the other hand just got gifted a decision after Márquez showed the world who was a better boxer. Fighting Miguel Cotto coming off a dominating win vs Margarito makes more sense.

That being said I still wanted to see Mayweather vs Ms Pac Man

Yea Pac got beat pretty bad i the last fight

MAJORITY of fans had Pac losing that 3rd fight with JMM...He was spittin up blood in between rounds..

shame they robbed JMM in that fight. He won that fight and most fans/media/fighters/trainers have JMM beatin em...He was exposed for what I thought he was in that fight-JMM showed us what you could do to Pac when he LEAPS off his feet or throws sloppy combos and uses sloppy footwork.

Floyd was dominating Ortiz though-3rd ranked WW in the world was just getting beat up bad in that fight..Floyd buckled him once or twice in that fight..if not buckled then snapped his head back something sick!

It's standard for Mayweather's victims to come off an impressive win, but it was clear that he was willing to make an exception in order to be able to whoop emmanuel's AZZ on May 5th

Margarito was never the same after Pacman beat his ass to pulp.

Matter of fact Margo should have not returned to the ring yet after Pacman smashed his eye.

    ***** logic.... A walking contradiction.

pac's win over margarito is more impressive than cotto's win over margarito..

heck, pac's wins over margarito, mosley, AND Cotto are more impressive than any of Floyd's welterweight fights..

I'd agree with Baldomir and De La Hoya but he fought to of the top Welters and pretty much won every round.. At the end of the day this thread is true like him or not

he hasn't been in a close round since Mosley round 2 and the Ricky Hatton fight.

Its a very impressive feat by Mayweather Jr.

    I don't agree with this.....

It made sense and everyone knows it does.

Yes Manny did get a questionable decision against Marquez but tell me who didnt know this was likely BEFORE the match. Manny is the golden boy of boxing.

The outcome would still have been the same but still to say it doesn't make sense, doesn't make sense in itself!

What does that have to do with Manny coming off a loss to Marquez while Cotto is coming off a win?

Shane was ranked #3 in the world at WW when Floyd beat em.

Shane was ranked #1 at WW (or 2) when Floyd beat em.

Excuses always pour in-even if he beat Pac we'll still hear all this bull****.

Pacquiao (i.e. Arum) piggybacking/hitchhiking/cherry picking since De La Hoya.
