Am I the only one exited for Maidana vs Alexander?

I hope Maidana avenges his countryman Matthyse and KO's that douchebag Alexander. I used to like Alexander but when he's matched against anyone who can take a punch (Bradley, Matthyse) he loses confidence very fast. There's no way he deserved that win over Matthyse!

Maidana and Matthyse actually fought each other in the amateurs and Maidana won, so hopefully this will give us some insight as to what's going to happen in this fight. Maidana "theoretically" should do better then Matthyse and might even KO Alexander (fingers crossed)

Look at it this way:

If there's anyone (besides a current world champion) who can go into St. Louis, and win a 10-rounder over Alexander, it's Maidana

maidana is at a real disadvantage . this being a 10 round fight is not good for maidana. n his hometown doesnt help we seen devon get gift decisions already. bet u the ring is gunna be big as **** to . i cant believe maidana took this fight wit these circumstances! he must b really confident hes gunna ko him no matter wut

I am really looking forward to this fight. While I agree that Alexander is not that exciting, Maidana will make it an interesting fight. Khan was running away from him in their fight and Maidana still put an ass whooping on him. I agree though that he needs to start off strong, he can't risk it going to the scorecards. I'm surprised Alexander was able to get this fight in st. Louis after his last 2 fights.

 

Maidana is ruthless. Alexander will have to be at the top of his game or he's going to sleep.

 

I'm really looking forward to that fight. Alexander needs to prove he's still relevant, as does Maidana. They both face challenges in the other's style, and Maidana more so with the 10 rounds and St. Louis setting. Over on the scene, he says he's looking for a KO; hopefully he does so with educated pressure and doesn't waste rounds looking for one big shot like against Khan.

I favor Maidana to either stop him, or earn what should be a decision (and possibly get robbed, depending on the nature of the rounds and how many times Devon kisses the canvas).

 

I'm excited about the fight, and the undercard. Marco comes to fight and won't let Alexander take any breaks.
