I notice you are from Alaska so I'll forgive your Neanderthal ways of communication. Clearly, you're missing the point of thread. It's okay, keep responding and putting up little smiley faces. My 2 year old likes to use them as well.
The generalization based on location. And you think that makes YOU the intelligent one here? atsch Look dick, you just come off as a whiny baby here. I'm not the only one who noticed either.
I've grown tired of his negativity. Often it seems like he'd rather be somewhere else than watching a fight at ringside.
Damn right, e -- surprised -- without being heavy-handed -- at how poignant it is. Know Freddie when he was waitin' tables in Vegas. Sad that this generation has Michael Bay attention span. Big props for Peter Berg, the director, 'n for HBO havin' the guts to back his story-telling style, rather than 24/7 eye-candy.
People can't be that stupid can they? Larry Merchant is a boxing icon. He knows more about boxing then most people know about themselves. Please, be appreciative of this boxing genius. :---------(
Merchant is great. You never know when Grandpa is gonna say something crazy. Funny guy. Harold Lederman is hilarious when he talks too fast "Jim,I gotta tell ya blah blah blah blah blah blah blah 2 rounds to 1 Apollo Creed."
Merchant is like your corny, but interesting, Grandfather, that can be annoying, but at the end of the day you love him. And just like your Grandpa, Mr. Merchant thinks he knows everything about everything, just look at the way he's always trying to contradict Lampley, Lederman, and Manny Steward. A bit senile at times, he'll throw in non-sequiturs, while his counterparts retort beautifully... and like your Gramps, who's run out of things to say, he'll end it with, "So?!" At the end of the day, there's something cathartic about having him there.
As this thread shows some people like him and some don`t which is pretty normal when someone is doing his job well. He had his ups and downs but he is the only announcer that dares to ask the unpleasant questions to the boxers
