Actually in a subsequent post, I also wrote exactly what you wrote here. And I never buy **** fights. But like you said, there are too many people buying them.
The people who say Boxing is dead are those who need people who own big corporations to tell them who's good ( Fox Sports, ESPN, Yahoo! ETC. ) So rather than finding out that you have....just to name a few Martinez who's exciting and has charisma, Kirkland who's very vulnerable and will put up a good fight, Donaire who's as technically sound as anybody out and Khan who even though took a tough loss still has PLENTY of fight in them These are the same people who missed the majority of Pacquiao and Mayweathers careers......Hopkins is still a big name and getting good wins. At the end of the day, why don't you invest some energy into actually seeing if the sport has life instead of blindly say it.
The best lightweigth in the wordl recently fought the best Welter. The best lightwelterweight is going to fight the best welter next. The best lghtmiddle is going to fight the second (arguably the best) Welterweight next. The top 3 Cruiser is fighting the top 3 Heavyweight next and so on.
How does this guy relate fixed fights with **** fights and Football is gay? So I guess boxing is dead, for you. Go watch a manly sport like golf or bowling.
It's not dead but fights people wanna see are not happening, everyone seems to wanna go risk-free way instead of taking risky/hard fights, it is indeed a problem and people here saying "**** off" like there's nothing wrong with boxing are ****ing ******ed.
Boxing is dead to the casual no brain, Man on Man Action, glorifying Homotard... Boxing will never die and 2012 will have some of the BEST match-ups in a loooong time!!!
Then why are you exaggerating the flaws and applying them to divisions that have more good things going on than bad (which I specified in my post)? If boxing were dying, it would have more wrong with it than it does right.
