Nope, they surpass fifa clearly. What corrupt things do FIFA do aapart from awarding the right to hos tournaments to undeserving countries? Do they fix matches left and right like boxing does? Do they strip competitors of titles for no reason, just to award them to people of their choosing? Make up BS interim titles when they are not necessary? How is FIFA more corrupt than the boxing world, exactly?

And yes, a central single body would be great for the sport. Not so good for the promoters, though, that's why it'll never happen.

Illegal under FIFA rules. Many countries have been suspended trough history for periods.

    Definately!!

Keep the same weight classes and titles

Make the rules black and white

Make standard operating rules in terms of weight, gloves etc

Make a specific formula for ranking points

It can be done but it never will be. Theres too much money for the individual for this to happen. I think it should be like FIFA for the world and then FA for each country which operastes under FIFA.

Theres so much to change that you could make the sport so much better without having to do that much work. I suppose the only way it would happen is if someone buys out every goeverning body in the world. That includes all the lesser bodies. It would take some serious cash to do that.

Unless everyone on ESB pulls together and puts money in, and buy everything out. ESB could be the new single governing body :rofl

No one entity, especially the Government, can oversee and abolish the sanctioning organizations-let alone dictate to HBO or Showtime what fight they could or couldn't show.
    You are dreaming.

Boxing would absolutely benefit from this, but unless the government gets involved I don't see it happening

Sure they could. Football leagues do it all the time, why would boxing be different?
