Man, you know I'd love to be there. Being from NJ, it was a snap to go to AC for the 1st fight, which I'll never forget. Vegas is a bit of a haul. But now that you mentioned it, I shoulda looked into just how much a trip out there for 2 would have set me back. Too late now I guess. I already saw KP KO JT once. I'll see Kelly again at the Duddy fight in MSG this summer, you can count on it. I told my son to keep that June date open.

    :good

    ((((((((((((((((((((((((((KP by KO))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

No, but I'm happy that Taylor is probably going to get his revenge back.

Taylor will be lucky to leave with his consciousness, forget his revenge.

Pavlik will be the one lucky if he is conscious after the fight.

I'll be in Vegas for a conference that weekend anyway. If I can land something decent for a couple hundred I might go. I haven't been to a fight since RJJ-Woods, so this would be amazing.

PS Pavlik will rock him ... again.

Won't be there, whoever will is one lucky *******.
About the fight, I really don't know what to say about it. First fight I picked Taylor KNOWING that Pavlik won't be a joke but really didn't expect to see Taylor load up early and floor Pavlik and didn't expect Pavlik to win(let alone by KO) so it was all shocking but should've been expected(As Amsterdam told me). This time around I'll be expecting anything, I sitll have faith in JT but I also won't be surprised(huge possibility) if he's knocked out in the 2nd round. Something tells me that Taylor will come looking to knock Pavlik down again and early as he did and try to finish it, if he doesn't get that done he'll just get knocked out his self even though I do believe that if he tries to box and keep it up he can win this by UD, but it's doubtful when you know JT and his mentality. He'll try to finish it by KO and get his revenge back THAT way or he'll end up knocked out again and I have a feeling it will happen to him and very very early(2nd round). My prediction is still JT by TKO but if he loses then I won't say I'm surprised like I did the first time, that's for sure.

That's a pretty good post scar. I disagree with a few points, but all in all it makes sense. I agree that JT will come in looking for an early KO. His new mantra seems to be "I almost had him out of there." Based on some recent interviews I think he is focussing way to much on round 2 of the first fight, and not enough on how to actually beat Pavlik. Most fans do not realize that the key to beating Pavlik would be to slip the jab, and I haven't heard anything from JT that indicates that he realizes that. Kelly Pavlik is extremely good at using the double-jab to set up the right hand. Double-jab and a right to the head -- double-jab and a right to the body, up and down back and forth with an occasional lead right thrown in. That is Kelly's bread and butter. When that stiff-ass jab lands flush, it stuns an opponent for the fraction of a second it takes Kelly to land the right. He rarely throws the right when an opponent slips the jab. So, if you slip the jab consistently, you get hit with far fewer right hands.

As far as Taylor getting knocked out in the 2nd round, I don't think that is very likely. JT is tougher than that. The only way Jermain gets totally blown out is if he comes in fighting scared and tenative. In that case Kelly would smell the fear, and almost immediately turn the ring into a phone booth, and leave JT slumped in the corner again.

Another point most people seem to miss is that when the fight was a brawl JT was at his best against Pav. After round 4 when it turned into a jabbing contest is when Pavlik starting taking over. In round 7 the beginning of the end happened in the middle of the ring with the jab -- right hand that I referred to above. That's what put Taylor against the ropes, and Pavlik knocked him out.

I do not think Taylor can out box Pavlik over 12 rounds. He'd win some rounds no doubt. In fact he may even win the majority of the rounds, but he is still going to catch the right hand repeatedly, and get hurt. Once pavlik has him hurt, he'll finish him.

I've looked at ths fight from a lot of angles, and i think that the most likely scenario is a slightly shorter version of the first fight. Pavlik KO5 Taylor.

I dont care what the cards said. If u going off the judges said Pav was losing why he will lose this fight u need to wake up!. Emanuel Steward even said it the fight was going for pavlik. I think this fight will be more one sided for pavlik and this puts him in top 3 P4P. At 168 he will be even stronger. He is bigger then JT and a better boxer. If JT doesnt catch him early good night. Cause Pav brings the pressure. JT has shitty stamina i think he runs the mile in like 9 minutes. Pav's workrate is way to high for JT. PAV KO 5

Ref and judges will be against Pavlik as they were in the first fight, but Pavlik should be able to knock Taylor out once again.
