I think he's great for the sport in NZ & whooping him might be the nail in the coffin for boxing in NZ. Him boxing me is like me playing him in rugby... Not a great result. Lol. I feel in time he could be where I'm at & maybe even win some big fights, but I feel I'd be looking like a bully if I pressed the fight. If him or the public wanted it, I'd sign at any time.

Chauncey - you cannot challenge SBW for the New Zealand title because you are not a New Zealand citizen.

 

Chauncey has been New Zealand National Boxing Federation champion for about 3 years, and I think you'll find he holds dual US/NZ citizenship. Perhaps he can confirm that?

That article was pure shock to me. I have backers to support a Tua bout but offering 500k wouldn't be smart as Daves name value doesn't sell enough to cover that, & bad thing is, his name value is much more than mine. If he agreed to the bout, we'd pay a fair amount for sure but odds are for him to make maximum revenue we'd need to do it in China. Problem with that is the fight really only makes sense in NZ.
On de Mori, I'd love the fight. Would even be willing to go to Perth for it. That ball was left in de Moris court long ago, so if he heals good I'd fight him in NZ or OZ.
