Hopefully the end of primtime. With the amount of people watching the hbo stream of the Chavez fight I doubt that this will affect the hardcores
HD, better quality pruduction, better comentry ect. just seems half assed. the best thing about it is bunce.
Imagine if a channel had a red button option where you watched the fight without commentary and then voted who won the rounds with a smart phone app. This isn't really related to this thread but I had the idea while I was here so you can just deal with it.
Really bad news if it is. I'm almost coming to accept that my BN should be the "best of the rest" i.e. domestic bouts, random foreign fights and the odd American show. Big cards have to be on Sky. Maybe when BN goes HD then I'll change my mind. I just hate watching **** quality shows now. Just like twitter, top brands follow a trend. Just like the WWE, UFC etc any reputable brand (i.e. Primetime, BoxNation etc) must be in HD. It is more a standard of their product.
Once upon a time I thought it was overrated but then I got a 47" TV with HD and now that such a format is around it should become the standard as it is visibly much better than SD, especially for sporting events.
This content is protected It's an alright fight I suppose but clearly Boxnation still needs the 3D option to lure in the serious thinking man's sports fan. Time for Keysey to play his trump card me thinks.
Some people I see on the net saying they dont think Boxnation will be here in May and here they are getting the biggest PPV show of the year
3D is just a gimmick HD is not. The point that Boxnation should recognise is that why would a customer pay for Boxnation to watch Mayweather v Cotto on TV when they can watch it on their computer using a stream with the same picture quality. Seeing as Boxnation's SD picture is not the best. If they have it in HD it is a unique selling point (that you dont get with a stream) that allows for a far better experience. I am not condoning using these streams, but it is obvious some people do. Boxnation would get a bump in subscribers if they went HD imo. FYI I am a Boxnation subscriber.
Would not be much of an issue if Boxnations SD picture quality was half decent. Seems to be quite bad compared to other SD channels. Especially when they show cards from the US. Cotto v Margarito picture was quite poor.
