from 1997 (After Eubank) - 2006 (Before Lacy)???

I contend that notwithstanding all that is said about Hopkins dodging Calzaghe in 2002, JC did not look for the biggest fights available. He had many fighters from 160-175 to choose from, yet he chose relative unknowns.

He fought no unified champions, no ATGs, no HOFers, and no P4P Top 10 fighters...

Can the Calzaghe fans at least admit that his resume in this period of his "PRIME" is relatively weak (at least by ATG/HOF/P4P standards)???

His resume is weak when he was in his prime, yes. And yes, Joe is to blame to a certain extent for that.

    Like who ?

Eric Lucas ? Manny Siaca ?

    Please.

Fights with Hopkins/RJJ/Toney were NEVER an option. He wasnt even in the same division as any of them at the same time for a start. He wasnt a big name then, so why would they fight him ?

Ottke and Beyer would NEVER fight him so that just leaves people like Lucas/Siaca/Girard etc... who he would have had no problems at all with.

So tell me, what "unified champions and ATG's" as you put it should he have fought ? Because fights with RJJ and HOpkins were never an option

You really think its that simple?:patsch Many fighters simply ducked Joe during those years. He tried very hard to get Ottke in the ring...but the German joke wanted none of it. So he had to beat up varies former champs to gradually build his profile.

How many hall of famers has Hopkins beat?? Calzaghe is better than Trinidad ever was, Hopkins lost to Roy Jones and knocked out De La Hoya who was far too small to be in the ring with him..........who in his list of 20 middleweight defenses are so much better than Joe's??

I'm sorry, but I don't believe that EVERY SINGLE QUALITY opponent that JC didn't fight was due to that opponent ducking JC...

And, I've seen really nothing to show someone ducking JC other than Hopkins...

Even I'm bored of this topic, so I can't really be bothered

I'm convinced you drink your bed time cocoa from a Joe Calzaghe undisputed SMW Champ mug though, you talk about him way too much for somebody that isn't a fan

You just have no insight to offer. You're a nuthugger, plain and simple.

Maybe the whole world ran from Joe Calzaghe haha...
