Hi im sorry for starting another nutrition thread but i was just wondering if consuming more fats then the Recommended daily allowance while still staying on maintance calories (or less seeing as im trying to lose some weight) and eating good fats, have a negative impact on me?

It depends. The recommended daily allowance is for the average guy, not an athlete. If you're training then a bit of extra fat is okay but obviously don't go mad.

If they are GOOD FATS and don't come at the expense of your protien intake or carb intake and your getting all your vitamin and minerals then they shouldnt really effect your health negativly.
If your still eating under maintance then you won't gain weight even if you get alot of cals from fat.
Hell i know a guy who went on a diet and was eating very very little like 1100 cals or so and he didnt lose anyweight because his body thought he was starving. Anyways he got use to eating this little but he now adds 2 chocobars to his diet (the 1,100 or so one) and he's still losing weight because he's consuming lower cals then he is using even though some of those cals are from sugar and bad fats

No negative impact. Just try not to let it interfere with hitting your other macros, and vice versa.

Sorry to hijack but is it true that lack of fat in the diet can hinder weightloss?
