RIOS Vs. GAMBOA: Who Wins and How?

Rios is too big for Gamboa... 2 weightclasses + the enormous weightgain (about 15lbs) on fightnight.

Rios will walk him down.

 

Making 135 will suit Gamboa more than Rios.

 

If Gamboa can carry his speed this could turn out somewhat like Acosta, although Gamboa is more elusive, Brandon is relentless and punches well in combinations. Rios having to make 135 again is a big factor IMO, I think we all thought he would finally jump to 140. Hard to pick but I feel Gamboa actually has an edge, hoping for a FOTY type war...

 

People are making too much of a big deal about Gamboa moving up 2 weightclasses for this fight. Gamboa has fought at lightweight numerous times and his speed was still there. If weight is going to affect anyone it is most likely going to be Rios for draining himself.

I'm picking Gamboa by wide Dec. Gamboa is more elusive,faster and a smarter fighter than both Acosta and Murray who were schooling Rios before they got trigger happy.

Gamboa will fight the fight ofif his life and not allow any good shots to get in. Rios will be drained and/or overlook Gamboa as easy fight against a small guy.

Could go either way, first instinct is gamboa to win but i may change my mind

 

Gamboa is an exciting fighter and one of my favorites fighters but I think that Brandon Rios will send Gamboa on the canvas !
Rios is a tough mofo !

Rios vs :Maidana, Guerrero and Katsidis : these are the battles that I want to see !

 

Gamboa will outclass Rios, unanimous decision El Ciclon de Guantánamo.

 

This is such an intriguing fight. If Rios can make 135 healthily then I see him just being too big and strong for Gamboa. It's a massive "if" though. Gamboa is also that good to beat a healthy Rios on his top form, this fight can go down so many angles.
