My view on Haye/Chisora... Frank ****** is a great promoter, but I wish he stopped Derek leaving the podium to confront Haye...selling a fight is one thing, but when pride is on the line and tempers are raised, you cannot let two fighters confront each other; it's going to kick off. It happened with Lennox & Hasim, me & Danny Williams, me & Herbie Hide, and a whole host of other fighters. It was not pretty and it never is...I suspect the Boxing Board will punish both fighters, but in the end, the best way to settle the animosity is in the ring. Everyone who has been involved in boxing has seen this before, so please don't suggests this is the worst brawl they have seen, because that's just sensationalism...It was bad and a sad day for British Boxing, but as I said, it always is.
Some wise words there from Audley. Thank god he didn't turn up calling people out too, that really would have put the icing on the cake for British boxing.
I've got a great idea for the next Sky Box Office PPV. How about we have Haye v Chisora starting off a match with Fury and Audley locked inside plexiglass pods around the ring. After the first round, one of the pods will open and another competitor will join the match.....etc, etc :think
It's a sport where two men are punching each other in the head for almost an hour, it's obviously going to kick off every now and again, it's not cricket. People saying this is a bad thing for the sport don't have a clue what they're talking about, people love excitement and violence, I know I do. If anything this brawl has put me on for the next Chisora/Haye fight. If you don't like this sort of thing you ought to consider following a different sport.
Frank wouldn't have been able to stop him. Note: His entourage tried to stop him, Del Boy quickly told him not to touch him and get behind him. The entourage member quickly remembered who pays his bills and obliged.
