Jonathan banks was awful last night.

Banks was better at cruiserweight. He doesn't have enough power at HW and is boring to watch.

Like Adamek and Chambers, he's simply not big enough for HW and should move back down if he can.

Banks had a great fight at Cruiser vs Eliseo Castillo who Wladimir KO'd years ago

Banks was down 2 or 3 times early and got a KO in the 3rd or something like that on ESPN yrs ago

since then i saw him get drilled by Adamek and score a funky lookin KO over Walker

i like the guy he seems like he has class and for some reason i tend to have a fascination with sparring partners of other great heavies

 

When you can sell 12k tickets and get that many viewers you don't need an undercard. I think that's why they like to reward their sparring mates with TV fights, an incentive to keep them working with you.

Banks is ok I guess, he's clearly never going to crack the top 10 but can beat guys like Firtha. He's lucky to land on Klitschko undercards because thats as good as its going to get for him.

It would be nice to see him atleast try to land a meaningful fight. Since his Adamek fight the highest profile guy he's faced has been Travis Walker. With the Klitshcko's behind him and his nice looking record I'm sure he wouldn't have much trouble landing a big fight with someone if he ever wanted to.

 

I think he's fighting March 3, on the Wladimir-Mormeck undercard.

We have a verbal agreement for myself & Banks to fight. Not sure of any dates as we put the discussions on hold until after Firtha fight. Time to turn this flame into fire.
