    Just in from the BBC who spoke to the Munich prosecutor's office:


    David Haye & Dereck Chisora face German police probe


    British boxers David Haye and Dereck Chisora are suspected of committing offences that could carry prison sentences following their Munich brawl, German prosecutors told BBC Sport.
    Haye is suspected of grievous bodily harm - a crime which, if proven, carries a prison sentence of six months to 10 years, the prosecutor said.
    Chisora is under suspicion of malicious injury, which carries a jail sentence of up to five years, and a "threat", a lesser offence punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to one year.

    I think a plea of self-defence would hold up in any fair court of law.
    Chisora's recent behaviour and repeated promises to slap Haye would be seen a reasonable grounds to perceive the bloke as a real threat.


    I really despise Haye and what he stands for, and think he was a complete **** the other night, and shouldn't have even been so visible a presence at that fight. He's a desperate attention *****. But none of that is illegal.

    It's also a jailable offence but not as serious.

    If found guilty, the minimum sentence would be 6 months.

    Not the minimum may be 6 months.

    This is a country that only gave a suspended sentence to a woman who knowingly infected 3 guys with HIV. You really think they will send Haye to jail?

    Anyway I'm pretty sure neither fighter will press charges as they know that the other would in retaliation.

    The minimum if found guilty is 6 months.

    The 'may' refers to the probability of conviction, not the length of the sentence.

    call me a cynic, but i can see the threats of trials/jail time continuing as part of the 'sales drive' for the haye-chisora fight. i can see the headlines now - is the big fight off? etc etc and then lo and behold everything gets dropped at the 11th hour and the sell out fight at wembley stadium goes ahead in front of millions of tv viewers
