Another very interesting fight on this card. Dunham as shown improved standup recently, and had a very exciting outing in his last fight against Nik Lentz. However, his biggest strength is in his grappling game, and he will more than likely strive to drag this fight to the ground and work for submissions. If it stays on the feet, the winner is obvious, but if Dunham does manage to get it to the ground, it will be Babroza's biggest test to date, and a test that he very much needs. Who do you got?
I like Dunham's chances, I think he's the most underrated LW in the UFC at the moment. I thought he beat Sherk personally and his Guillard loss was a setback but one that happens. There's an argument that Edson's explosive striking has the Guillard danger but I dont think he has that kind of power outside if throwing insane kicks whereas Melvin can rock anyone with punches. Dunham has mixed in a higher level than Barboza and I don't think Edson looked that convincing against Njoukani or Pearson, both of whom Dunham would beat handily IMO.
Dunham decision This will be the fight were Barboza's lack of wrestling ability will come to the fore , there is no problem with his JJ , infact he may just shock the world on that front , he is a brown belt under Marcus Aurelio , that tells its own story I think Dunham will mix his attacks and secure a few TD's on route to a decision win here , sidenote ; this fight will tell us a thing or two about Barboza as a mixed martial artist , cant wait
