Would make a lot more sense to fight in the prizefighter alright. More exposure and better money. Frank will just use him to pad saunders record.

Seems to be a good buzz about it and sounds like there could be a decent undercard. Just hope rogie shows up though and there isn't some injury between now and the fight.

What's gallahad like only seen him the once against a journeyman so hard to make judgement. How does he match up to willie? Is willie a free agent now or who is his promoter?

Wonder would willie need a tune up he hasn't been active since the loss to rigo. I know he's a tough ****er who comes to fight every time so don't doubt he'll be ready on the night. Tough to see him getting back the european belt though. Was in UL that night. Great night

Martin Lindsay has signed a managerial deal with former manager John Rooney, and has his comeback contest on the 23rd March is in Britain. Also amateur star and Immaculata teammate Alfredo Meli has turned pro also with Rooney

Interesting one there Ardy. Meli has quite an amateur legacy. Won an array of underage titles, plus an under-21 all-ireland as far as I know. In your opinion will he suit the pro game?

It's hard to say, the amateur styles required today to be successful in that code are at odds with the professional side of the sport. There's obvious exceptions to this like Phil Sutcliff, Willie McLaughlin and David Oliver Joyce, but in most circumstances it's a wait and see attitude I have with these young pros. Anthony Cacace turns over on Saturaday, and listening to his interview with our own slappie you would think his fists are like sledgehammers, but I'm sure you will agree Anthony is an out and out stylish no matter what he's claiming or maybe I'm missing something:think
