i think its possible that this fight could be one of the worst matched in the history of boxing, even considering wilder isnt that good
wow marlon still fighting:blood he was on the undercard to darnell wilson vs nwodo. horrific. looked like a fat naz hamed with right hands swinging so wild it looked like he was bowling cork on willow.
He's not fought in almost four and a half years, his record is 23-10, he's 5'9, has never fought as a heavyweight before and he's nearly 41 years old. Yup, sounds like the perfect opponent for Wilder. Are we certain he possess both arms?
Fighters can look a million dollars coming forward and throwing explosive combinations if the opponent isn't firing back anything in return. My suspicion with Wilder is that he has been matched soft for a reason. David Long, last time out for Wilder was woeful and his list of opponents thus far tells the story. The real skill now in project Wilder lies with the matchmaker and promoter: to manouevre Deontay into a money fight before he gets derailed and his stock falls. If that happens at the highest level then he still has marquee value and will be able to cash in on a couple of more fights. I do not believe he is the saviour of the heavyweight division and will be found out if he steps up.
Massively relieved to hear he made it through this gruelling test. Time to step up the level of opposition now. There's probably a blown-up lightweight with one arm out there somewhere.
Deontay Wilders handlers are targeting a title shot in 2020. That's the way it looks. He ain't gonna develop fighting Middleweights like Marlon.
reading an article on wilders circumstances with his daughter and having to put boxing on the backburner makes me feel a bit more forgiving about him
