I think he's around 21/22. So many fellas turning over at a young age nowadays. All going well, they should have very long pro careers
I don't think that's the case as much anymore Ardy. Aside from the 3 you've mentioned, there's a lot to be said for all of the Irish elite champions as to how they would do in the pro game. With the exception of maybe Mcdonagh and Nolan I reckon they could all do well as pros (that's no offence to those 2 lads, just my opinion). I couldn't agree with you more about Cacace. The few times I saw him he was completely suited to the scoring system. He'd get his few points and then keep his distance - but in a very stylish manner indeed. I'd imagine he won the vast majority of his fights via points decision. I hope he does really well, but I can't see him smashing his way onto the pro scene with, as you say, "brickfists"
Eddie Hearn to make announcement today, but I hear Paul McCloskey will fight Mexican two-time world champ Julio Diaz at the Odyssey on May 5. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=20149&cat=boxer Diaz has lost four of his last eight, but has Hearn honoured his promise? I think he has.
