Why can't Haye work his way up and become a mandatory!?

    The competition with the younger guys is weak. They have very little skill IMO.

    If Haye became mandatory challenger then there'd be no contract issues and the oh-so-scared K brothers couldn't run away from him!

    So why exactly is Haye not simply becoming mandatory. That would guarantee a fight with either brother!

    Haye can't get a mandatory shot because it means fighting a live contender in eliminator rather than shot Ruiz or Harrison. Besides, mandatory shot secures only 30% of the purse - the offer which Haye already declined.

    I don't understand anyone backing Haye. To be honest I'd rarther see Haye against someone like Fury, Chisora, Price, Aareola, Povetkin etc. Than Haye against either Klitschko. At least in those fights Haye will be under pressure to win. The Klitschko fight was boring and I won't buy into that hype again.

    If Haye's really only in it for the money then I cba to pay to watch him pick up a pay check, if he wants to be a champ then he shouldn't mind working his way up.
    As has already been proven, a Chisora type figiter who wants to win will make a better fight than Haye.

    6 fights in 4 years.... no one earns shots these days but the fact haye would even attempt to put a string of wins together at this point to get a shot is not gonna happen.
    in 9 years he has only 27 fights.... they guy doesnt like to fight as it stands....

    still he was his mandatory, if he didn't fight him he would have gotten stripped of his WBA title.

    so Haye doesn't have to fight his mandatory but klits do?
