I like maidana but fighting a 10 rounder vs alexander promoted by don king in st louis means he has to ko him to get the win. I hope he will be able to since I want to see him fight better guys, I want rios vs maidana or maidana vs matthysse or maidana vs marquez in the summer. Hopefully he can get by alexander and make those happen.
Alexander's split from Don King mate, this is just a golden boy promotion. With that in mind ,Maidana should get a little bit more joy than Kotelnik and Matthysee if he clearly does enough to win. Surely Oscar and co wouldn't jeopodise Maidana's stock and gift Alexander another one, it makes no business sense when there's options for khan-maidana 2, maidana-rios etc. As a Maidana fan i hope for the knockout but if he's scored a knockdown or clearly done the damage i think he can get a decision.
I don't know about that. Alexander's got a little of Judah in him and looks like a quitter to me. Both seems happy running everywhere and throwing little jabs in their opponents gloves. He could definitly outbox Maidana, but I would not bet on it at all. I think Maidana will make him quit with body shots.
Hopefully Maidana will mann-up and fight his mandatory-Humberto Soto, rather than run up in weight to fight a 10-rounder against feather/pillow fisted and quitter-Alexander. Both poor articles. How are we meant to take ducking soto serious when it goes on to confirm a mccloskey fight that didn't happen either? I don't think there's any blatantly DUCKED about it. Doesn't hit me as the sort who would refuse to fight anyone, unless he was being fed peanuts which he has been offered over the years. It is prize fighting, you have to look at the financial side of things and ducking for me is more about a fighter refusing to take on an opponent even when there's a lucrative offer on the table.
King doesn't promote Devon anymore. Golden Boy does. They are the ones that finagled this bout into a 10 rounder.
