The question of a heavier rather than a bigger man gets asked alot on here. I would like to know who thinks there are naturally bigger men in weight classes below those of others. Current example Brandon Rios lightweight vs Tim Bradley Light Welter. Rios taller , wider across the shoulders , similar reach. Bradley now may carry more muscle , but I think is naturally the smaller man. Past examples Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pacquiao All stats except waist Hatton (30) Manny (28) favoured the meant to be smaller Pacquiao. Others from the past were Hopkins at middle vs JC at super middle, I alwaya thought Hopkins was the naturally bigger even though a life middleweight until hitting 40. any others? Im sure sugar shane was bigger than a lot of light welters when he was a monster lightweight , the man was 5 9' and solid. peace.
Nowadays, Victor Ortiz was a gigantic 140 pounder. He says he used to rehydrate to the 160s even while fighting down there. He was assuredly bigger than most welterweights during his JWW days (and that's been confirmed ever since he became a welterweight, too, because he's huge at that weight too.)
Idk about big, but Berto tho short has a big frame and fought at 154-160 in the ams. Ortiz, Sergio, Berto, and Donaire all seemed to me like they could have success at heavier weigts. Gamboa may be another. Williams too.
If you look at how big Bradley looks you wonder how he's only 140, then you see how freakishly skinny his legs are and it makes a bit more sense
