    Hi all i apologise in advance but would be very gratefull if people could post answers to these few questions i have

    Basic details
    * I weigh 60 kg and want to go down to 56
    * I tried doing this by lowering calories to riduclous amount and im still at same weight, i know this is stupid so im changing.
    * i have cheat days every week cuz i love food :|

    Questions
    1, Any websites or calories calculator i can use to get an estimate of howmuch i actually need (been eating around 1600 with excercise ):patsch

    2, If i sort out my diet can i have certain "junk foods" as part of them as long as it fits into the calories

    3, because ive been eating low calories for long will i gain weight if i eat healthy (proper amount of cals) or will i lose the weight as i plan if cals are in order

    4, How much should i aim to lose in a week? 1lb 1Kg etc?

    thanks and please no useless or insulting responses

    I was going to respond with a lengthy post, but you missed a thread that saves me the time;

    Nutrition for boxing

    You should read that for starters, and hopefully it'll spur you on to investigate further.

    132lbs to 123lbs. That's 9lbs difference. (Don't work in kg sorry.)

    When you reduce calories drasticly, you probably lose weight at first, but you'll be hungry. When you're hungry, you're probably going to gorge out. Like you said below, you have cheat DAYS. You do that, you feel guilty, you feel like you have failed. Making it easy to gorge out regularly.

    Personally I don't put too much on these numbers, I'm not talking excessive and minimal. But if you ever use any of the equipment in the gym that indicates how many calories you've burnt off, it's never as many you consume. 30 minutes on the treadmill to burn off that biscuit! It kills you psychologically. Of course pay attention to those labels, and avoid the bigger numbers out there.

    At the moment I have a cheat meal a week, I eat whatever I want (reasonable portion size) - it is a reward and spurs me on for another week.

    You'll gain weight on the diet you are on anyway more than probably. You change your focus and learn about your own metabolism.

    I wouldn't aim to start with, just get on track and keep there.

    I've pulled out some calorie burning facts;

    1) Between 10-30% of the calories you burn each day get burned by the simple act of digesting food!

    2) 10-15% of your calorie burn comes from moving your muscles. That is anything from weights, to typing on your computer.

    3) 60-80% of your daily calories are burned up from you doing just nothing. Your bodies constantly moving: breathing, heart beating and so on.

    You can see from the percentages, how vital a working metabolism is.

    I know myself that post is not all informative, however I tried to wet your appetite for further investigation and to adjust your current habits.

    Ok as promised

    1, google BmR calculator and open up 3 or 4 of them. Do what they see and see what your Bmr is (amount of cals you use for survival while being immobile and in neutral temp) then add cals accordingly to what your doing. Try to get a deficit of about 500 cals give or take

    2, If your under calories you will lose weight! Its hard because junk is high cal and doesnt fill you up but could be done.

    3, I honestly do not know.

    4, 0.5-0.8 kg per week is safe and proper weight loss which will stay off if done right

    Because your questions have been answered plenty of times here before and no one is getting paid to answer your questions. What's with the self-entitled attitude?

    Probably because it's clear you're just being lazy and couldn't be arsed to do a little research for yourself. Asking for a calorie calculator? Come on. Type calorie calculator into google and see the thousands that come up. It's not difficult.

    All of your questions are very basic and can be answered within 10 minutes using google.

    You'd be better off learning about the subject than having answers on small chunks of the entire subject.
