It is possible after a close fight to acknowledge it was very close and the decision is just either way.
Why does every close fight have to be a robbery? I have to say, when the fight was over I said I thought Hendo won, just barely, but I wouldn't be shocked if Frankie got the decision.

In a close fight, just because the judges don't score it exactly like you did doesn't make it a robbery.

Robbed is a bit harsh but I did think Frankie won the fight 3 rounds to 2. A rematch would seem in order but unfortunately Frankie may have to wait for a rematch.

Did you not see Henderson's face at the post fight show? Not one scratch nor any sign of a bruise. It just shows how little impact Frankie was throwing his shots, clearly he was hesitant to sit down on his punches. Why should he deserve to keep the title if all he did was dance in circles while slapping with his punches? I'm glad the judges finally got a decision right.

I think everyone is sick of these rematches. The division is much too stacked to keep holding other fighters from fighting for the belt.

    Haha, nice avatar suga.

I think open scoring would be a good idea, it lets fighters know what's going on especially going into the final rounds.

Frankie lost and it wasn't really close.

Henderson did 5x more damage. SUre, frankie pankie got the takedowns but they had no impact on anything since Henderson would bounce back up. Frankie got owned, got hurt, and got damaged.

Ummm yes it was close and Henderson said it was close and even said a rematch might be in order. That doesn't mean there will be 1 of course but the fight was close and if you didn't see it that way it's because you didn't want to see it that way.

Frankie gets damaged real easy. Every time caught those kicks he landed 2-3 punches. He won.

I don't agree with this "either way" nonsense. Fights should be scored one way, not whatever way you like.

As for those who think Frankie lost every round but the 1st WTF about the 5th ? He clearly won. Anyway I scored it for Frankie 3-2 but had no problem with Ben Henderson winning at all. No doubt Henderson pressed the action and scored the most damage and if I scored it agian I might score it differently. Great fight no matter what and id love to see it agian in the future.

That's not what I'm saying. Obviously you personally will have your own scorecard. But, can you completely disregard other scorecards that might disagree with yours when a fight is this close?

When I said at the end of the fight it could go either way, I was simply acknowledging the fact that the fight was close, and I suspected the judges might see it the same way. i.e. either guy could get the decision.

I'm not advocating that fights be scored whatever way you like. But I believe, and you may not agree with me, that a solid argument could be made for either fighter.

Lol! Is this a joke thread?

Benson won rounds 2 through to 5... Easy judges call in my opinion!
