I haven't kept track of his fights much since the pride days but, just saw one of his recent fights and he is looking really good. His standup and head movement look really good maybe even enough to bang successfully with Edgar? Do you guys think he can be a champ in the UFC? Why the hell hasn't he crossed over yet anyway? :huh

About Guida level, a gatekeeper to potential contender spot. Would be a good addition, but tbh I doubt the UFC LW division would miss him as well.

Love Alvarez. He would make for some excellent fights even if he never gets the title. One of the most exciting fighters in MMA.

His chin would let him down against the top guys.

He'd do very well, would fit neatly into a division where very little separates the top guys.

I see he has one tko loss on his record but, its back from 07'. His footwork and hands have improved a lot since then. I think he might be able to work Edgar like Bendo did but, with his hands instead of leg kicks.

I don't believe he has ever been knocked out, but he gets dropped in pretty much every fight. You can only take so many rockings before your chin starts to fail you.

true true. I think its because he is top heavy and his power shots have a long recovery time. Awesome to watch though I think the UFC fans would love em

No Chin + No Defense = Not very well.

He is exciting, however, so I would like to see him against some of the better guys. At worst he gets brutally and embarrassingly KOed in some barn burners.
