I had Povetkin winning by a round but if there had been a decent referee who would have allowed the fight to down a little more natural, had allowed Huck to fight and work on the inside Huck would definitely have won either on points or by stoppage. Luis Pabon is a fool and a disgrace he should be in female fights at the very best
I had Povetkin winning by a round, or perhaps even a draw. Povetkin started well, Huck did not. Povetkin took Huck too lightly and did not train much, hope he learns from this. Povetkin fights Rahman next...........
Povetkin clearly won the fight, but huck had him out on his feet more than once - especially at the end of the 12th! If it would of been a 15 rounder like the old days i reckon huck would of knocked him out.
Huck looked ok against the worst version of Povetkin...and its a robbery? The ref was terrible Povetkin was gassed and why the **** was he bending over at the waist?? Huck was unimpressive and hit while holding quite a bit, most but not all of the rabbit shots were Povs fault for bending over you gotta take the (paper) belt from the 'champ'
45% of ESB thought Povetkin won http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=383742 Huck had him out on his feet This content is protected GIFSoup
Why you mad? As I subscribe to Boxnation I often get to watch German cards, it was a really fun fight that I scored as a draw. I cant be bothered to post my rbr card but its in here somewhere... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=383701 I thought Huck was going to get hammered & was very surprised at how poor Povetkin was, he looked ****ed after the 4th.
I actually think it would not have been bad for Povetkin to lose that fight only for wake up call the get IN SHAPE. And then win the rematch.
What were you expecting? Captain Huck to be a calm & composed gentleman? Povetkin was consistently ducking & bending below the waistline, Huck just carried on punching
This Powetkin permnantly trying to get his head between Hucks legs . The ref probably should have counted Powetkin for that at a given moment. Huck was punishing Pow`s neck all the time and should have get points deduction for it. Because both fighters were tired, these scenes were inevitably increasing the longer the fight lasted, and most action of the fight ended in this scenario. So what should the ref do ? It`s a question what you judge worse - cowardice or streetfight mentality. I think he did not the worst thing in mostly just letting it go. So Huck was not able to hit Pow clearly but at least he gave him a red neck for that. If Powetkin had been really hurt by that ,it`s a different story. .
