I felt bad for Williams. I think, on a better night, he probably would have won.

Bad night for Paul. But I gotta give Quintana the props he deserves too. I expected him to do worse but he proved me (and most of us) wrong. On the other hand, I don't think Quintana is a superb fighter by any means.

Quintana won the fight. Like Paul said, Quintana won the by not allowing him to get into any rhythm. Meaning; Quintana's southpaw stance and movement didn't allow him to get off like previous opponents. Previous opponets being predominately stationary targets. This is the reason why Williams' workrate was chopped in half. Not because he came in unprepared. If he was unprepared, trust me..those flush shots he was taking would have eventually had an effect on him down stretch. I had the fight 8-4 for Quintana, with most of the rounds I gave to Paul being when Quintana was seemingly faded. Whenever Quintana chose to fight, he clearly was getting the better of it. Bad style for Paul and a bad job of match making by his handlers.

Carlos kicked his ass. It is just that simple.

Quintana Won On His Own Merrit, Paul Might Not Have Shown Up & You Can Say He Didn't Fight At His Usual Work Rate But I Think Cq Movement & Slickness Had Alot To Do With It, Also Williams Was Not Ready To Face A Slick Southpaw. I Just Wonder What Quintana Could Have Done, To Williams If Cq Didn't Have Stamina Issues?

Lederman was way off on Saturday night, he even gave the 1th round to Williams, I cannot believe anyone could give Williams the 11th round under any circumstances.

Wiliams clearly lost, he looked overweight. not as frail as he usually looks. That may have caused the slowness. i heard he put on alot of weight after the weigh in. But he slept on Quintana. Maybe that mohawk slowed him down. lol but he'll be alright, i am not counting him out. he may need a new trainer.

Quintana beating Williams just goes to show how ridiculous all the talk of Williams being the second-coming of Thomas Hearns was. In fairness to Paul, he has always tried to shy away from being compared to Hearns, but with their builds being very similar for a Welter, I guess the comparisons were always going to there.

However, that's as far as it goes. I've also heard talk how Williams would be the man to beat Floyd or give him his toughest bout to date. I think Williams losing to Quintana suggests otherwise now!

Don't get me wrong, I think Williams is a good fighter & can become champ again, but other fighters like Floyd would hav never underestimated Quintana or anyone for that matter!

Quintana has mixed at top level, a seasoned pro who's been there. Credit has to go to Carlos for upsetting the odds & overcoming an opponent who had the luxury of a lot of physical advantages.

With him capturing the WBO title & beating Williams, an opponent who was expected to beat him quite convincingly, I think Quintana is right back in the mix.

Who would you like to see next up for Quintana?

Quintana won the fight and he exposed Williams. If Williams can't have his opponents at the end of his jabs, he has nothing else he can do. Quintana showed us how to beat Williams. That's with a lot of movement and throwing from different angles.

Williams sort of the lost the fight in the sense that he didn't throw the long jabs. He didn't use his length properly for most of the fight.

Give Quintana His God Damn Credit. he exposed Williams, Williams didn't do **** and theres no way to walk circles around the fact that this guy weight drains himself to have a ******ed advantage. As we can see it wasn't the advantage that it was made out to be. PW has a chin, long arms...thats about it..He is very frail and slow and he isn't cut out for 147lbs. He better make up his mind fast because he will soon be a man without a weight division.

Quintana out boxed/out fought Williams. It showed the level of talent he has in taking Williams belt. PW is as huge a WW as you'll find and Quintana stood his ground.

You're insane if you think Margarito beat Williams. I had it 8-4. I can see it 7-5. But no way did Margarito win. The difference between Margarito and Quintana is that Quintana can box. He didn't stay at the end of Williams jab like Margarito did.

I stated in many posts pre-fight. Williams was overrated. No defense and no power. Quintana is a decent fighter and scraped out a close decision but all these guys below Mayweather, Cotto and Mosely @ 147 are a mixed bag of decent but flawed fighters.
The odds on this fight were the most off base Ive ever seen. Williams no business being -700. I gladly took +550 . This was more than double the amount you had to lay with Cotto against Quintana. The hype machine was in full force on this one.
