Which fight would you rather watch: Wlad vs Mormeck OR Hopkins vs Pacquiao?

His entire style is based around his height and reach. He developed this style because when he tried relying simply on his skills he was getting KOd by smaller guys

Hopkins-Pacquiao...zero hesitation. Plus regardless of the ridiculous size difference, both are more skilled and superior fighters historically than Wladimir Klitschko and especially Jean Marc Mormeck.

This question brings up the obvious fact that no matter how good you are (Pac #1 P4P in the world), you have a serious mountain to climb when you face a guy so much bigger than you. Some of Wlad's opponents lost before the fight even began because of this fact. And that is why i don't go ga ga over the guy.

There are plenty of 6.7 type boxers who have huge size advantages, like michael grant for example yet lose to guys like adamek who got schooled by vitali.
Being big alone doesnt cut it, you need skills, wlad always had skills but his poor stamina and gl;ass chin failed him back then.
Now he is fghting smart, using his height/reach behind the jab and nobody has been able to get trough it since 05.
Only an idiot would brawl and not use his advantages, remember sergio vs pw 2?
Just being big isnt enough, you think tyson fury could beat haye?

You could not be more wrong with this bs but what's new..

  6. I'd be far more interested in Hopkins Pacquaio - simply to see what Pac would try and do, how would Hopkins respond. There's that small amount of intrigue.

I don't really care about Wlad/JMM - no intrigue, nothing.

In this strange world of boxing enthusiasts, Klitschko Mormeck is a disgusting fight not because Mormeck is not great by any means and past prime anyway, but because he is short and light compared to modern giants, AND AT THE SAME TIME mithological creatures from 70, such as Frazier (who was the exact same size of Mormeck), are invincible.
You keep dreaming of Klitschkos not so great because they have "unfair" advantages of size, keep speaking about a new (completely unnecessary) "superheavy" division, AND AT THE SAME TIME you think quite everybody from 70 (max 225 pounds) would kill Wlad in 2.
    Very consistent analysis.

    Wrong thread.

We're talking about two specific mismatches.

Two mismatches who have nothing in common.
Pac-Hopkins is a mismatch because they belong to very different weight divisions, while Klitschko Mormeck is a mismatch just because Wladimir is much better than Mormeck, and not because of size
Otherwise, Klitschko Frazier would be a mismatch too, while many of us (and with good reasons) think Frazier would eventually ko Wladimir.

I don't think you understand how percentage of weight works.

Sure, the actual poundage may be the same, but the percentage of weight is vastly different.

Imagine a tyson vs a klit wouldn't that be something?

Has anyone considered the percentage of weight difference as opposed to the actual weight. I'm not a Wlad apologist and I think this is an awful match but their is a huge difference in him fighting Moremeck and Hopkins fighting Pacquaio when you consider the percentage of weight bigger as opposed to just weight.

For example I don't think anyone would say a 270 vs. a 240 is a miss match but a 175 vs a 145 would certainly be seen as that.

Stand corrected - it was addressed, my bad dog.
