    Poll coming up.

Don't matter if you think or want that next opponent, just advocate why.

Brian Magee is a logical choice IMO. Magee was Showtime's choice for Bute's first fight (3-fight deal), and has gathered some WBA paperwork (not to say title) since he lost to Bute. Magee is a southpaw who goes to the body putting the pressure on, and who has improved in terms of ring IQ since the Froch fight... he doses his own offense pretty well nowadays compared to how he fought Froch. Sartison is fighting Balzsay for the 'regular' WBA title pretty soon.

    What do you guys think?

    Brian Magee (WBA interim dude)
Anthony Dirrell (WBC mandatory challenger - friend of Ward's)
Curtis Stevens (former SMW up & comer, making a comeback)
Rudy Markussen (Kessler's countryman, still ranked @ WBA, just lost to Magee)
Adonis Stevenson (holds NABA title but is currently #2 @ IBF, re: domestic fight vs Bute)

If you had asked where the fight would take place, that would have been easier. Why Jokeland of course.

No way. I'd make any kind of bet with you that this **** is not happening next.

Al Haymon & Gary Shaw out, Leon Lawson in. Plus, they're friends and won't fight until the "time is right" as put by Ward.

    Again, no way.

Now now. That's a given. Goosen spoke of "an easier homecoming fight" for Ward as he declined a Bute fight.

Magee, I believe, has the potential to win 2-3 rounds a la Bika. We'll see.

Fighting in April, you think the winner will be available for May/June? I don't.

If you think Ward is willing to wait until September for his next fight, well... ya, I guess.

I'm guessing it will be Magee. I really hope he follows up with the Bute/Froch winner later in the year but I'm not holding my breath. It is too hard to make big fights these days with the networks and promoters BS. Look how long it took to make Froch/Bute.

Ward said he wants to unify all the titles in the division before moving up so it would make sense. But you're probably right he'll probably want to take a stay busy type fight between then. I hope it's not some no-hoper like Magee though. Anthony Dirrell is his mandatory (I think) so that makes some sense too.

I think he will wait at this point. He'll start looking for the big fights from now on. Dirrell is promoting himself now..HAHA!! When u have Haymon as an advisor I think the best thing to do is to keep him around. Great ****ing decision from Dirrell: that means he won't be in the mix anymore!

I hope Bute wins. After that unification.

I'm sure both Bute and Ward want to fight each other and are confident that they will win. Bute has been getting good paydays for a while but Ward is still looking for his first big payday. Ward does deserve an easy homecoming fight to celebrate his Super Six win but he needs to go right back to elite type fights after that if he wants to build his legacy and earning power. I believe Ward's camp when they say they want Bute to establish himself against better opposition to make the fight a bigger payday in the US. I just hope they don't try to milk it and ruin it by waiting too long like happened with Gamboa/JuanMa. I'm pretty sure that by early 2013 the Showtime politics will be over and Ward/Bute will be on HBO, but it may be wishful thinking.
