I thought after watching this fight people would be on here complaining about mormeck's gameplan and lack of doing anything to attempt to fight but yet still ***** at Wlad. Mormeck knows Wlad clinches on the inside but yet just bullrushed into a clinch repeadily not doing a thing.
Edited for truth. I am british, and i for one thought Mormeck was mostly to blame for the clinching. I am also a fan of the Klitschkos, despite the lack of spectacle at times. BTW making sweeping generalisations about particular a race or countries over the internet not only makes you look stupid but its also quite embarrassing. Perhaps you should read a beginners guide to the internets before further continuation to avoid further embarrassment.
I love how people pretend that every clinch in a Wlad fight is Wlad's fault. As if his opponents aren't initiating at least half of them. Hell, half the time they just run into him and lay their face on his chest like he is their daddy. He probably gives them that impression as he is beating them around the ring. His style is so perfected right now that his opponents simply can't find their range. Wlad controls the fight from his range and their range... so they end up diving in so far and awkwardly that they go in too far and end up entangled. I am not saying that Wlad doesn't use tactical clinching as well here and there, but no more than any other smart technical boxer and nothing to get excited or upset about.
Reminded me of Lennox Lewis against a shot Mike Tyson. Clinched way too much and it made the fight boring.
The diving into Wlad's chest by Mormeck was the only way for him to avoid punishment from the getgo. He just didn't have any answer for Wlads attacks and his defense wasn't tight enough. Better ramrod into Wlad than stay on the outside and get brutalised, like he did, unfortunately.
Bull****. All of this nonsense came about because of one fight... the first Sam Peter fight where Wlad was caught between 2 styles and still not completely comfortable or fluid in his new style. Wlad's clinching is EXTREMELY overexaggerated.
Basically, yes. What the hell was he doing nose-diving into Wlad's belly without even attempting to throw a singe punch?
I've been asking that myself....at least throw a punch coming in to have a chance of hitting him. He thought he would headbut Wlad's chest into submission.
Yes, if the guy had tried to put up a fight on the inside, then Wlad's clinching would have been subject to some criticism... But it wasn't the case.
