Why do some people only watch the heavyweight division?

    Because people have preferences and opinions. Also I don't see how liking HWD means that you never stepped into the ring or changes anything even if it was true.

    :lol::lol:
    I agree. Also the HW is more glamorous. That's why we see many cruiserweights step up to try to win a HW title.

    They suffer from insomnia?

    Seriously, it's a fascination with watching the biggest and strongest men delivering concussive strikes. Nothing wrong with that.

    It is not like that today. All you hear is Pac and PBF and a few others. Now, if we were talking about the Tyson era.....even crackheads would put their rocks down to watch.

    I personally enjoy watching it more; Also I am probably a little biased, as I would be a Heavyweight myself; Even at my lightest I could maybe get into crusierweight, but even that is a stretch.

    Same reason F1 is the most popular motor racing, or mens sport is more popular than womens, or moto gp are more popular then more limited catagories, etc etc.

    HW's are the best, they hit hardest and they beat everyone else.

    It's the reason WWE/F, which can do whatever it likes as it's scripted entertainment, builds up huge wrestlers, it's what people want to see.

    I use to be that way years ago but that was because the heavyweights were exciting and they were promoted well. Now they aren't.

    Of course, if we have at the same day, let's say Wlad - Mormeck and Pac - Floyd , I will prefer to see Pac - Floyd

    And they are right. Sure Wlad - Mormeck wasn't the most interesting fight I've ever seen, but still when you watch HW you watch the best boxers on the planet.

    Well, I guess I get it after great figures like Ali and Tyson but it's a pretty terrible misconception that those guys would always win if fat ex middleweights ever even competed in the division like an old out of shape toney putting it on Peters in their first fight, regardless of the decision. Remember that Peters put Wlad down about 27 times and still lost a decision.

    I don't think bigger is better. Sure, Wlad would kill Pac in the ring ... but it's also easy to imagine a cruiserweight with real power knocking Wlad senseless on any given unlucky day. heavyweights are pretty boring nowadays - probably because big guys can go to other sports and not get their brains beaten in. what other sport could Pac play?
