There isn't one true champ at WW as well. However, Floyd is the biggest draw at 147 as well as the no.1 p4p fighter.

PBF is the champ and Cotto is the number one contender.....if and after all the cobwebs are cleared with their next opponents (which is in no way an easy thing) there will be no other fight to be made and it'll be the event of the year.

but with all the stuff happening now it looks like 2009

Wrong. Floyd is the man at 147.

    The Ring and Lineal Champion.

No one said he wasn't. However, there are 3 other guys with major belts. So there isn't 1 champ, there are 4.

I see how you are saying it. I wouldn't say it like that. Those 3 other guys championships mean nothing.

Hmmmm...that sounds more like Joe Calzaghe who spent his life defending a useless title against bums.

Floyd is the man at 147 but does that mean that he shouldn't have to fight the other champions if they don't call him out(some have and he still ain't fighting them). Floyd's #1 goal should be to get all the belts and be undisputed.

Floyd shouldn't have to fight Cotto, Floyd he's done enough but their will always be doubt about Cotto. If Floyd wants to seal his place among the greatest of all time he needs to beat Cotto.

im going to sound like a fan of maywhether but im not really ... i think if quintana was able to beat the huge paul williams floyd is way better boxer and has more tools to beat williams its a shame that floid being as good as he is dont face his toughest rivals and in the long run his going to be known as the guy that was a great boxer which didnt dare to be great

Methinks it doesn't matter if Floyd beats every one of the top welterweights. The simple fact that so many people don't like him (and admittedly with good reason) is enough to keep him from ever really getting a whole lot of respect.

It's surely better than not beating any of them, he'll get his respect.

He might not get immediate respect from all, but he'll get it over time.
