You mean like Byrd II and Brock tried? You mean like Thompson tried for five rounds? You mean like Mormeck tried?

You still haven't answered my question about Iggy-Mitchell and Zack Page.

Kenmore how come you never get any of your HW's on here? You were promising us Fast Fres and Ibragimov a few weeks ago.

They're not my heavyweights. I'm just privileged to know guys close to them, and to be able to chat with them. That's how I get to know some of the stuff that's happening with them. They're Miami guys, and I love it down there, but I haven't been there lately.

Supposedly Ibragimov's scheduled fight in Uzbekistan is "iffy," so allegedly he'll be back in the US very soon. Fres won a tune-up recently, and has got another scheduled for May.

I know Fres and Iggy would love to fight Chauncy (to take a stab at his belts). But it wouldn't make any sense for Chauncy to fight those guys before he fights Mitchell, assuming the Mitchell fight is a reality.

P.S. - Fres is already calling out Mitchell. James Slater put an article on ESB to that effect today. I think there's a similar article on Bobby Hitz's website.

If Fres is in shape, he could do what Zack Page did, and even take it a few levels higher. I'm convinced Mitchell will freeze like a broken robot when someone fights him patiently, consistently, and over the long run in center ring. We're talking lots of foot movement, working the punching angles, not getting upset about catching Mitchell's jabs every now and then...being disciplined. When someone does that, we'll see the end of Seth Mitchell.

I really wish someone could find a copy of that Zack Page fight.

Fres will have to get in line I guess. HBO is after new blood like Welliver. And I applaud them for their matchmaking. I also applaud Golden Boy for taking the huge risk and not the easy route with Mitchell.

Chris Byrd tried to be aggressive? Don't remember that, but that fight was awhile ago. I do though remember the Brock fight as I watched it just a few months ago. The main thing I remember about Brock was something wasn't right. I've heard, but don't know for sure he had a busted eardrum which would explain why he had very bad balance in that fight.
And Mormeck did bring the fight to Wlad, but didn't punch at all. He rammed his way in and didn't throw anything.
    Didn't see Thompson fight.
As for Iggy/ Mitchell bout, Iggy stood right in front of him. Not much movement. He was a sitting suck. If you stand in front of Mitchell, he'll nail ya as Iggy found out.
As for Zack Page, I have not seen that fight but have spoken to Page and he says Mitchell is no fan to pressure and does not like to get hit. We shall see.

    :yep

Chauncy should put on his cutie act if he fights Mitchell. Forget about slugging. Stay in center ring. Move around here and there, like a beetle, dodge Mitchell's shots, slap Mitchell around a little. Potshot him, like Page did.

In this scenario, I could see Mitchell tiring after the 6th or 7th round. At that point, Mitchell would be ahead on points, but he'd be losing steam. At this point, Chauncy could potshot him, and start to come on.

Speaking of tape, anyway of getting a tape of Oquendos recent fight with Travis Fulton? Intrigued to see how Fres got knocked down in that fight. I didn't think much of Fultons power.

Have you seen the Page fight? I'd like to see it. Page told me about it but would like to see to believe.

I am very curious about what Page said. The people I've spoken to, who where there in person, said Page put on a "fancy dan" performance, always moving the head, circling away, and suckering Mitchell with wide shots from unexpected angles. Don't know if it's true, but that's what they say.

Everyone I know who saw that fight has had minimal faith in Mitchell ever since then. It's as if they lost respect for him...like they know his true weaknesses.

I haven't seen it. I've tried to find the film, but have been told that it probably doesn't exist.

I spoke to the ringside photographer today. He told me it wasn't a knockdown...more a case of Fulton tackling and wrestling Oquendo to the ground. It's questionable if the ref even called a knockdown. Boxrec may be wrong. I'm expecting Tsatas to call them and fix it.

It's an unverified report still. Why was Fulton DQ'd? Strange for a dude to floor a guy and then pull a DQ minutes later. Only 2 seconds left in the round.

My info is that from the opening bell, Fulton was playing MMA. He kept grappling, holding, and wrestling. Supposedly the "knockdown" resulted in 2 points being taken away from Fulton. The ref DQ'd him when he continued to play that game.

I would like to know why boxrec lists it as a knockdown. There must be some reason. The photographer I spoke to didn't think it was a knockdown, but admitted there was such chaos he couldn't tell what the ref was doing.
