Yeah I have officially submitted to the modern game, I'm done with it. Bar the times I can bring something to the table, like the Wonjongkam thread yesterday. I'm just not posting on the likes of Broner, Rios, Burns, Floyd and Vitali because evidently I don't have a clue what I'm talking about. Lennox will happen, but I'm snowed under with footage at the mo'! It's a fun but hectic place to be!!!
I'm a bit dissilusioned with the modern boxing scene myself, and to be honest I'm barely interested in it nowadays. I'll still keep up with it, but I don't avidly follow it, or really look forward to that many fights nowadays. Gives me a chance to watch the older footage though, I suppose. You and Lennox :-(. It's nearly as bad as GazOC and his Sugar Ray Leonard piece :yep
:yep Yeah, I'll admit I took the royal **** with that one. I guarantee with my next piece, part one and two will be posted within 30 seconds of each other :deal
Love that fight! Terry Norris is one of the most overrated fighters of the last 20-odd years IMO. All flash. Little substance.
Nah, one of the best 154 pounders ever imo, a lot of skill. My only criticism of him is his resume, and he still has quiote a few quality names on his resume anyways. Always like his eprformance in the second Brown fight, he showed some resolve dominating a man who had walk over him before.
Great fight. Thought Camacho sneaked it as well. Shuemenov-Campillo II. Worst robberiey in recent years. Worse than even than Campillo-Cloud. Poor bloke.:-(
Going to watch the Klitschko-Mormeck fight soon (just because its on) then I think ill have a late night and catch up on some recent fights: Donaire v Vasquez Campillo V Cloud Williams V Ishida and I may watch Trinidad v Vargas again
Plan on watching Balzsay vs Kastanov, Viloria vs Segura, and Kameda vs De la Mora today. I never end up doing it when I plan to though, so expect either no fights to be watched or three entirely different ones. Apparently the WBC have offered Diego Magdeleno an eliminator for Aoh's title against Boschiero. Don't know anymore than that, however.:conf
Balzsay vs Kash is similar to Balzsay vs Inkin (though not quite as good :yep). That's a good fight, have you seen it? Magdaleno vs Boschiero would be a really good fight.
Nah, somebody recommended it to me. Probably yourself, in fact. Was it you? I've had it on my to-do list for a while anyways. The other two I've already seen, but I want to watch the former in better quality and I want to re-score the latter, which I believe I had to De la Mora. It doubles as research in order to come up with a valid argument as to why he'll beat Moreno.:yep
Yeah, it was probably me, I pimp that fight big time. It's a great fight though IMO. Balzsay and Inkin get slept on, being Eastern European they were never gonna be regarded in the highest esteem in England or the US, but they were both pretty skilled and had a war fought at a really high skill level when they battled. Great counterpunching from Balzsay in particular.
excellent small hall area fight from last week off youtube.phil gill vibrar ryaz...well worth a watch and last yrs southern area symonds v tait.another classic.supurb.
