every fight that needs to happen will happen, fans get pissed when they cant play match maker. these days it takes more then just a hand shake to make a fight these days.fighters fought more but got paid less and now they get paid more and fight less.90's - 80's era of boxing is over, this generation is all about the money. but its boxing take it or leave it, last yr was good and this yr will be better.

The whole problem with who fights who got lost to the winds from the dawn of time, fighter, teams, managers and promoters have far to much say in who fights who, yes they should control, the venue, money etc, but all this bull**** could have been avoided if the all the governing bodies, wbc, ibf etc had control of the ranking systems who fights who, who becomes the number one contender, give the dates the fights must take place by unless serious injury postpones the fight and if champions fail to make the fight they are stripped of the belts and the ranked one and two fighters then fight.

 

Only vacant titles should be fought between one and two. A legit title fight can be whoever. Most fans know the difference between a good fight and a hype job so if a so -called champ is fighting scrubs, then it will be treated as such.

I don't know for sure obviously, but if it went to a pure ranking system it would make fighters fight strictly not to lose and win a cheap fight if the next fight depended on the current.
