Yes Cotto has said on HBO and ESPN camera's more than once that he would like to fight Mayweather. He also said that He fights who his promoter setd up.


The best part is? THE WORLD KNOWS these are the top 2 WW's, there is no avoiding this fight, but the GLEE CLUB FAITHFULLY PURSUE excuse, after excuse, while FLOYDS ON VACATION.

WTF is it that THEY CAN DO RIGHT NOW? Is Floyd available? Is he or is he not fighting DLH?

Find me a video clip - its not that I don't believe you, and thanks for calling em a fanboy...thats cute. I just have never seen hard evidence, or found anything myself where cotto verbatim says "i want to fight mayweather"

I don't think i've missed anything on hbo or showtime in at least 18 months.

I've never seen anything where Cotto's gone out of his way to call out floyd like alot of people around here imply. The closest I've seen is when an interviewer is badgering him about getting in with floyd, and after dancing the question he says if the fights made, he'll do it.....and he definitely didn't seem eager or pleased with the questioning.....

Either way. For all the people that imply cotto has repeatidly called out floyd i would love to see any available evidence, whether in print, or video.

 

How could he have decided to fight Cotto if that wasnt even an option for him. Before he signed to fight DLH, Cotto wanted to fight DLH, or atleast Arum wanted him to. There was never a challenge issued out to Mayweather. Sure mayweather should have called out Cotto himself but thats not the point the point is you cant jus blame mayweather for the fight not happening, its cotto's fault just as much as it is floyds

 

Stop all the talk about floyd doesnt want to unify. NO ONE DOES imo. Floyd is fighting DLH, Cotto fighting Gomez, Cintron fighting Margarito and Williams jus lost to a beltless quintana. You tell me whos trying. The only one who was calling out a title holder was Williams but other than that theres no one. Cotto wanted DLH before Floyd did and Cintron backed out of a fight with Williams. And when mentioned to Quintana about a possible rematch with Cotto, he quickly disregarded that idea. You could see the fear in his eyes.

 

He said on ESPN he would like to fight Mayweather and again on HBO that he would fight MAyweather but it was up to the BOB.

I wanna know why Cotto should be calling out a guy who's made himself unavailable? I mean seriously let that SINK IN.

If anything? Floyds delaying the real fight and that's NOTHING NEW, its business as usual. PBF must fight Cotto AFTER DLH 2.

 

Because the guy is a PBF fan and I dont mind that, but we all know that its a good bet the reason Cotto isnt fight Mayweather is that Mayweather didnt want to make that fight or one with Mosely. The PBF game is to make the most money with the least risk. That equals DLH for PBF, for Cotto. Hell even little Rick Hatton after being crushed by PBF and running back to 140 is willing to take one for the price. DLH is the golden goose everyone wants to fight.

 

Read further. You will understand why I say Cotto is locked because Arum most likely won't fault away from the plan he has set for Cotto, which includes Gomez, then the winner of Margo/Cintron, then Mayorga. If you put 3 months inbetween all those fights, Cotto won't be available until next year.
