According to Sheridan and his co-host, it was like this one but much closer with Nichol earning at least a couple of clear rounds and visibly frustrating McJoe at times.

Obviously Arroyo is using this early part of his career well for its intended purpose - learning and improving. That is an encouraging sign.

Tanada flicks his left jab up in Rodriguez's face. Rodriguez circles and hammers down with lefts and rights on the smaller man. Rodriguez is using some shoving to get Tanada into position. Up-jabs and body combos by Tanada as Rodriguez keeps circling and keeping distance. Rodriguez dances around to his left, skating past the ropes. Overhand right by Tanada misses and puts him out of position, letting Rodriguez land a loud left hook to the body.

Tough round to score there.

Tanada did better work throughout, but Rodriguez snuck in some pretty meaty body shots. :think

Quick double jab by Rodriguez while circling, up on his toes. Going left, now right. Giving Tanada a wide berth. Rodriguez floats his jab from outside. Nice double hook to the face by Rodriguez. Big overhand right by Rodriguez, caught on the shoulder. Another big roundhouse right over the top by Rodriguez, crashing into Tanada's eye socket. They trade power shots, and Rodriguez gets some heavy ones in. Tanada has CHEEN. Rodriguez circles to and fro, floating jabs. Tanada is overreaching with his jabs and rights to the body, with Rodriguez using movement to force him to extend. NICE long right hands by Rodriguez from outside. Big exchange at the bell.

Round 3

Rodriguez lands hooks and uppercuts backing up. Nice power shown by Rodriguez. Tanada is pushing high jabs as he keeps pressing in, defending and picking off jabs but getting caught when Rodriguez throws the fast lead right hand. Tanada is taking those heavy shots very well. Tanada misses a jab and overhand flopping in. Rodriguez circles out, pumping jabs in Tanada's face. Rodriguez keeps turning Tanada and jabbing at him. Quick double jab by Rodriguez, woven around a Tanada jab. Very nice boxing by Rodriguez. Tanada is laughing every time Rodriguez catches him flush, but he's got a lot to laugh at.

G-Rod is obviously the bigger puncher and is appearing to be the craftier boxer. It's hard to see how Batang Sigubay can win unless G-Rod has a horrible gas tank on him or gets cut or something.
