Mayweather would have won round 4 10-8 (with the point deduction).

    He would be up 40-35.

He missed some bc he was loading up on his shots. He came to knock Ortiz out. You didn't see no quick jabs to the body or upstairs at all. He was pawing the jab and shooting hard right hands to hurt Ortiz. I think that is why he missed more than usual.

there is no contradiction. I felt Floyd did whatever he wanted to do in this fight, but it looked as if he took a few minutes off in the fight and thats when Ortiz could do his thing. Ortiz maybe won the 2nd, Floyd clearly won rounds 1 and 3 and in the 4th Floyd again let Ortiz do his thing.
I felt Floyd could have won all 4 rounds if he wanted to but he probably has to take some time off during his fights now that he is not so young anymore.
I think Floyd would have won a wide decision had he not suckerpunched Ortiz.

Yup. That's why that round was so interesting. Throughout most of the fight, Ortiz was on his bike and wasn't committing to attacks like we thought he would. That, in turn, forced Mayweather to initiate the action a little more than he usually prefers; making him miss a bit more hastily. And then when Ortiz burst into life in the fourth, he caught a Mayweather that wasn't in the customary 'I've-solved-the-puzzle' mode that he’s normally in at that point of a fight. He [Mayweather] was pretty aggressive (making him more vulnerable to getting hit himself) whilst not being fully versed in the manner of Ortiz’s attacks that were coming in return. That, quite possibly, was the best chance Ortiz would have had against him that night. It was only a small window that would have lasted maybe one more round, but Ortiz’s success would have been at its highest then, and then only.

My prediction is he would have had a slightly better round 5, before getting his butt kicked proper from rounds 6-7 onwards.

There was no sucker punch as the ref clearly called for them to fight, protect yourself at all times is told to both fighters before every fight for a reason. The fight was also probably never gonna go to a decision because Victor likely would have just quit after taking a few more rounds of punishment.:goodOrtiz lost all 4 rounds and is a headbutting disgrace.

O God why are people even talking about this fight!? Mayweather's best work was in the 3rd and 4th round. In the first minuet Mayweather was lighting him up, he was letting his hands go and just absolutely lighting him up. Then Ortiz had some ineffective flurries, where he hit nothing... the last flurry he landed like 1 punch and a devastating headbutt.

    This is nonsense.

Floyd opened up the 4th round by throwing combinations - something he normally does when he feels that he's in complete control of a fight. Ortiz was visibly frustrated by the fact that he could lay a glove on Floyd - hence the headbut. Ortiz is lucky the fight ended how and when it did. He was going to be on the receivinfg end of a long drawn out beating...

Point taken away for intentional head butts, got ko'd and still won the round, brilliant

No chance, Mayweather was in complete control that night.....in fact, he was landing far more power shots than we usually see from him.

It's a shame it ended how it did as I think Mayweather was going to KO him in any case.

Every time I watch it I still don't know what the **** Ortiz was thinking...

Ortiz was getting to Mayweather, I have no idea why he head butted Floyd.. I was perplexed.
