Thanks for the input. See my thoughts above on Floyd and Manny I thought about including Bradley in the top 10. His victories over Miguel Vazquez is more impressive now than it was back then. Also following Peterson and Alexander's last fights his wins over them are looking more impressive. However in hindsight I think Gamboa's win over Salido is looking much more impressive than any of those. The reson for that is, if we take the Peterson example: 1. I think the Peterson-Bradley fight was much closer than the judges had (I scored it to Bradley by a couple of points). 2. I think the scoring in the Gamboa-Salido fight was ok. Gamboa won by scores of 116-109, 115-109 and 114-109. Which is remarkable when you think Salido was given a knock down, and Gamboa was deducted 2 points. 3. The fights that Peterson and Salido have had since- I don't think Peterson clearly beat Khan. I still scored it for Khan even with the sheningans of the ref, while I think Salido clearly beat Lopez both times (and the stoppages weren't bogus JuanMa). I've already address the Campillo-Cloud in an earlier post With Huck and Povetkin, while it may seem contradictory to my resons for rating Cloud higher than Campillo, now Huck has returned to cruiserweight, I think he's better at the weight than Povetkin is a heavyweight. I also scored the fight for Huck by a point.
solid list! I could argue on some rank but i'm too lazy too make a top100 list so i got no right to argue!
Have to say unless you stole this off someone thats a very good list and a great effort. You will get the usuall floyd over Manny and vice versa but overall well done
I'll be interested to see Kessler's next fight. I'm wondering with all the injuries he's been having whether he will be totally shot by now. I'd like to see a rematch between him and Froch if not (regardless of the result of the Froch-Bute fight). There wasn't actually that much between numbers 16 to 26 on the list.
No. There is another guy on here who updates his list evey week but mine is very different. As regards Manny and Floyd, until they fight that's always going to happen and I don't say with agreat deal of conviction who's the better fighter I rated Manny higher because I feel he's achieved more over the last few years. And while I understand Mayweather convincingly beat Marquez, Pacquiao did better with De La Hoya, Hatton and Mosley. If Mayweather destroys Cotto he'll might be my number 1 after that, at least until Pacquiao and Bradley fight.
He is a 2 weight world champion now and has beaten 2 solid lightweight contenders, plus his dominate victory over Michael Katsidis was only about a year removed from Katsidis giving JMM a fair bit of trouble for quite a few rounds.
What! you basically took Boxr*c .com's top ten and then proceeded filling the rest of the best by selecting the top seeds of every weight division LMFAO! nice list man, just busting your chops.
You've got to love boxrec's p4p. Bundrage and Chavez Jr are apparently better than Donaire who's not even top 25 atsch
Don't quote that 2 weight world champion bollocks to me, he got given the last belt. Katsidis looked done and the 3 fights that preceded that were absolute shite and an insult to everybody who had the misfortune to watch them.
Maybe Katsdis is done but his victories over Moses and Martinez are still solid victories and warrant a high ranking
