Hunt will fight Struve. As discussed before, Hunt has the power to end it, Struve is more rounded and a weird gangly freak always in a good fight. Great matchmaking IMO. Hunt SUB 1 (Americana) :yep And Shane Del Rosario is coming over from Strikeforce, and will face the veteran dangerman Gabriel Gonzaga. Rosario likes to keep it on the feet, Gonzaga can crack and has an obvious edge on the ground (when he decides to use it :twisted Rosario is coming off a bad car/motorbike accident IIRC. Gonzaga is a great opponent to show what this 'prospect' has IMO.
Also, what the **** is going on with the Mutton Chop Zombie? :hey EDIT: Fighting Travis Browne, on the prelims of Jones-Evans. Griggs will be well undersized here, but brings it. Will force Browne out of his (by his last performance) lackadaisical approach. Hopefully he will pull out shots like the one that laid waste to Struve.
Cool. I like Del Rosario. He is out of Southern Cali, so it's always nice to see a local boy making it to the big time. Hopefully he KO's Gonzaga and impresses the UFC brass. He's got a ton of potential.
It'll be ace. All those fights leasing to that main event?!?! I've never got an erection from watching combat sports but I well have a rock on by the time Bruce is introducing the title fight
Hunt vs Struve should be a class fight i reckon hunt may catch struve in the first and ko him if the fight stays standing otherwise hunt will be in trouble
I think Struve should be the favorite. If he fights smart (big if) he should easily be able to sub him.
Agree with the bottom two, but I think Hunt can catch Struve. Great matchup, Struve is just so dodgy that I don't think his resilience will have a chance to shine through and allow him to pull a sub out of his ass :good
That's the most difficult fight of the three to call for me. I can easily see Hunt KO'ing Struve, but if I had to put money on it I'd tentatively go for Struve, as surely he has learned from his KO losses and from all of Hunt's fights in the UFC, and knows he must take it to the ground fast and keep it there as much as possible to win. If Struve gets him down, surely he wins by sub.
Agreed. It's that reason exactly that made me hype it as a good styles clash following Hunt's win over Kongo (in your Hunt Vs Nelson thread IIRC) and I like both fighters. It's guaranteed fun!
