I see your point but... This is Boxing not the NFL, MLB, FIFA, etc... anyone can do this and there is little to no oversight. (I am not commenting on BB. I think he is a solid guy.)
most of your jabs should come from the step and the hip or just the hip into the back then shoulder. all the other punches should come from the ground with proper foot work and move to the legs core and hips back and shoulder out the arm
Ylem, I can promise you that the only person displaying envy in this thread is yourself. I've got my own succesful business, I'm doing a degree, I'm a pro fighter and a fully qualified personal trainer. I've got a smoking hot missus, two beautiful kids. I won multiple titles as an amateur and I train and spar with some of the best fighters in the country and recently sparred my hero Marco Antonio Barrera. I drive the car I always wanted - work whatever hours I feel like and have zero debt to anyone.... Please tell me why on earth I would envy some nugget on the Internet who spends all night on his computer posting useless information which nobody pays any attention to. Why would I envy someone who is desperately ugly physically and has so many ugly personality problems you display so often on here. U make me laugh though. Post some more videos of ur boxing technique we have a right laugh about them in our gym when we're bored ha ha ha Take it easy 60k a year
Ylem- You gotta relax a tad. BB is correct. Feet before hands. I've seen a trainer work with a younger kid who he wouldnt let him throw a punch for 6 months!! If your feet/balance/posture are wrong... everything else will be. Get the foundation right the first time. And stop with the personal insults to BB. How many pros get in here to offer advice?? Not many, 'cause look what they have to go through! About the jab. I agree with you. I would say it's "mostly" an arm punch, BUT some throw it different. I don't think you would call a George Forman or Sonny Liston jab an arm punch. But Mayweather, Ray Leonard etc, it was used to set the table... But if I was pressed, I agree with you. Mostly an arm punch. But that dosen't mean it can't bust a nose.
27-12 as an am, 10-6-3 as apro so far. Was 6-0-1 but fell on bad times. Unfortunate in a handful of fights could quite easily be 16-3 with a bit more luck... But the harder you train the luckier you get
Actually that's key when first starting out. People always try to get too ahead of their game. As for the original poster.. forget about punching with your hands. Think with your feet. That would be a good start.
thats fine, do you want to go though all the posts before mine talking about punching, and tell them they are wrong and foot work is paramount, or should i? cause you know a few people had allready given punching advice, and you know doing that would clearly show your tying to help people instead of being a prejudice ******* thats jumping on the bandwagon.
