SRL and Herns probably would of beat him, but then again, Floyd has the skills to hold his own and beat them both as well. Bottom line, if you put Floyd in the ring with any fighter within his weight class then or now, he would be a problem for them.

    "Could..." beat Mayweather?

154: McCallum, Julian Jackson has a puncher's chance, and Norris can't be ruled out either. He's only fought once at the weight, so it's tough to say for sure.

147: SRR, SRL, Hearns, Kid Gavilan, Charley Burley, Carmen Basilio, Napoles, Gavilan. Curry and Starling have styles that might trouble Mayweather, and on a good day I could see guys like Holman Williams, Johnny Saxton, and Cocoa Kid pulling off wins as well.

140: Pryor, DLH, Locce and Loi immediately come to mind.

135: JCC, Duran, Whitaker, Armstrong, Benny Leonard and based on a style that was pretty similar to Mayweather. Pure boxers like Ken Buchanan, Joe Brown, and Ismael Laguna could pull off the win, and Carlos Ortiz was too good of a fighter to dismiss from the the discussion.

130: JCC, Armstrong. Arguello and Saddler have puncher's chances.

Those are the names that come to mind.

    Edit:

    Misread the title.

In terms of fighters that I would favor for sure over Mayweather, here's a somewhat shorter list.

    Armstrong
    Duran
    SRR
    SRL
    Hearns
    Burley
    JCC at 130-135
    Gavilan
    DLH at 140

    Quartey is a good shout.

Ike Williams would be horrible for Mayweather.

Um, you do realise that Sergio says he would go down to a lower than 154 catchweight for a Floyd/Pac fight, and that Roy Jones was strictly speaking about that matchup in a P4P sense (ie if he was in the same weight division)... right?

Back when Margarito was trying to make the fight happen and Mayweather fought Baldomir instead, **** yeah.

Many times in Mayweather's career was he vulnerable to certain fighters that he avoided, they then fell off and it resulted in him looking like he would automatically beat them. The Vivian Harris who beat Otkay Urkal would've gave the Mayweather who fought Gatti a pretty hard night. The Lazcano who beat Stevie Johnston would've really pushed the Mayweather who fought N'Dou or Cayo.

i know im gonna get bashed for this since he only had 1 world level fight but valero at 130 or 135 woulda pushed floyd into waters hes never been in. im not sayin hed win but if he kan hit floyd good chance he kould finish him.
Sweat pea, duran, hearns, pryor, leonard(benny and sugar) the goat. Winky maybe, maybe forrest, young shane has a chance bug I think floyd kould get to him, youn goscar,
