I used to love Ringside was must see TV. Today I just watched last nights and last weeks (MAB special) I would never have went a full week before catching up on an episode in the past, and during some of the programme I just fast forwarded it. I don't actually know why I don't like it as much anymore, I cant put my finger on it. I am just a bit bored of it. Rather have it than not though..

He had no reason to slap vitali, to spit on wlad or to storm up to Haye (who, for the 50th time, did not get involved until he was spoken to). Only person showing disrespect was chisora. My Response : Not sure how I've made your point??? Haye approaches Wlad = no response or punch thrown Chisora approaches Haye = punches (whilst holding bottle) thrown, elbow thrown, punches thrown at chisora trainer, and tripod hurled at chisora trainer, hitting Adam booth. Haye being there was out of order, again ever the salesman, trying to talk his way into a fight. Chisora shouldn't have left his seat but criminally speaking and morally Haye threw the first punch...so again I say if wlad would've responded in kind to Haye approaching him at the excel, would Haye have been blamed? Nope, instead Haye secured a multi-million pound fight, where he promised great things and then after a dismal performance, took off his boot to show the world his toe!! Let me add, chisora approached Haye with mic in hand..so there's no evidence that chisora would've assaulted Haye. Regardless of whatever Chisora did to wlad and vitali...they're sperate issues that deserve punishment, I've already adressed that. Your response: Huh? Haye hasn't made a habit of randomly assaulting people. He didn't put his face in Wlad's, he hadn't slapped and spat and bitten and kissed previous opponents, and he didn't immediately say he was going to slap Wlad. Nope but haye did get in Haye's face at the excel..not nose to nose but was as provocative as Chisora...(chisora when he reached haye said "David do you wanna fight me? " A question, not lets have it now? No profanities used, and Haye then struck chisora! He threw the first punch, infact the only punches! The majority of the blame for the incident lies with Haye in my book. Wlad had no reason to think Haye would do anything, but Haye had every reason to think Chisora would. Are you following? Brothers in restaurant...Haye walks in and throws mens health magazine at Vitali's table.....Hmmm provocative? Could be construed as threatening? Methinks yes! I don't see how anyone with their brain intact could disagree with me here. It's utterly logical - none of the idiocy of that weekend would have happened without Chisora's consistently aggressive behaviour. You just need to look at the common thread in each incident, and it's always Chisora escalating things. Already addressed that, chisora deserves punishment for spitting and slapping...not for the brawl that he didn't throw a punch!! For his comments after being struck? Yes...as severe as losing his licence?? Harsh in my book...has been far worse infringements..a warning as to future infringements or even a lifetime ban suspended with fine would've been suffice. And are you a lawyer? Criminally speaking, Chisora was the clear instigator of that incident. He created a conflict and had shown clear capacity and intent to injure others. Again, dealing with the Haye fracas, chisora, DIDN'T throw a punch! He approached haye and said " Do you want to fight me david" before being struck! So criminally speaking, it's a clear cut case of assualt...logically speaking!!! Hence chisora being released without charge.. I think that just about covers everything....now I'm in no way saying chisora's blameless...he shouldn't have left his seat, but Haye equally so shouldn't have even been there!! Just to cover the instigation subject...Bernd Boente along with Frank ****** were trying to promote a fight between chisora and haye, with the winner fighting Vitali...Chisora's trainer was clearly heard asking security to "get rid of this man!" Haye antagonaised a situation, somewhere he shouldn't have even been in the first place!! Ever the salesman is Mr Haye. And to try to say otherwise is ludicrous..along with your other points!!
Anyways, tired of talking about them...I made a comment regards the boxing hour and was dragged of course!! Hehehehe! Bunce's boxing hour = great Ringside = great Both shows = lots of boxing on the box..which is ultimately what we all want
Just like Skys whole boxing package, staff, commentators etc needs a overhaul.... Its like Chelsea, they need shot of a load of dead wood.
I find Adam Smith a bit creepy, like a public schoolboy version of Gomez from the Addams Family, but thats my problem not Skys. I just wish they would relax the setting a little bit and stop scripting everything. Jonny clearly can't read the autocue, so why not just let him flow a bit more. I think the taking turns to read a sentence thing is a bit primary school nativity for a boxing show. But on the whole, the Bunce hour and Ringside both do the job of getting us a bit closer to the fighters, updating us on the news and discussing any issues/controversies, so we should be grateful.
Do we really need this debate every couple of weeks, both are good shows in their differant ways,Ringside has really improved and have done some great features and the clips from the small hall shows are great aswell. The Bunce hour can be great at times and the Brenden Ingle interview was top draw, also Bunce can be comedy gold,i had to have a chuckle last week when he randomly had what looked liked a mute work experience girl checking out the emails.
Each show is good & bad in its own way. I'm glad we have both. I'm probably harder on BBH as I'm so anti- VVarren... It's a fault of mine I admit
Ringside is a quality show all in all but the miracle hasn't extended to Adam finding someone to sit next to him who can read an autocue and doesn't speed mumble all the way through the show. Genuinely need subtitles for Nelson
having got boxnation yet, is bunce good as the one on setanta, i thought him and the other presenter worked well together. never missed that show. hardly watched ringside as much this season, and smith just annoys the **** out of me, creaming over the klitchkos, cringeworthy stuff at times. cant stand mccroy neither, dont mind nelson too much but is better when he doing stuff, like the in ring moves. liked the jaimie moore segements. i dont know if it me but i find ringside can be very petty, catty towards certain boxers, very judgemental
Steve Bunce is biased. How come he has never got ex world champions like Glenn McCrory, Jonny Nelson and Jim Watt on? Not forgetting decent contenders like Nicky Piper. Ringside does what Bunce fails to do.
Unfortunately the Bunce Hour now is a pale shadow of it's previous self. I mean it's alright, especially when he gets the old timers on but it's just not the same. It really dragged at 90 minutes, but I think it has gone back to 60 minutes again. I've not watched it in a few months though.
