Which fights were the most memorable in stopping a really hyped fighter?

Whos careers came to a shuddering halt after an upset?

    Such as Prescott KOing Khan!!

Is Mosley starching Margarito an example? Their was a pretty big hype behind Margo at the time.

Maussa on Viv Harris was good

Harris was being talked of as the danger man in a division with hat ton, floyd and cotto ffs

But more than that, when maussa tried to hit him when he was flat out... And missed, got the ropes instead

    Just a ****ing comedic fight

I think so there was a fair few people who thought Margacheato would ko Mosley.

Although I hate to say it I guess Mayweather Hatton was one also.

Harris was a decent fighter IMO Trotter wasn't aware Harris was hyped up, He just had the typical Guyanese attitude to training . Maussa met him at right time...

Paulie Ayala vs. Bones Adams. Ayala was hyped like crazy based on the Tapia fights and his background. An old Bones boxed the snot off him. Shame about the decision.

Two years back that comment could have sparked off 5 pages, 10 maybe, 20 even!

And skills, nah Harris wasn't hyped like a lacy, in fact he wasn't hyped at all really, but definitely was being touted as a dangerman in the division. He was awful that night though.

I just loved the bizarre ending of the fight really

    :good

I remember Jim Watt saying 'he's not trained properly, he's breathing heavy already' that was like around 4th round. It was a shocking display really.

    I don't think Jones/Tarver and Mayweather/Hatton apply here.

Last year alone saw Rubio/Alcine over Lemieux, Ishida over Kirkland and to an extent Salido over Lopez although Lopez is a two weight world champ he was hyped as a possible P4P superstar.

    Salgado over Linares

Pong over Kameda (again to an extent)

Williams over Harrison (General public hype)
